1. There are fans who would want to buy the game for a third time. I’m in that category. Why hasn’t Sony made a way for its BIGGEST fans to get access to the game at a reduced price?
I think its because Sony wants even fans to buy the game day 1 at $70 US. And that’s a problem.
2. PS4 controllers not working on PS5, $70USD Exclusives, GT7 micro transactions, Horizon PS5 pricing are all issues over the last two years that shows ...

To all the Sony fans defending them, remember this moment when more greedy practices continue at Sony.
GT7 micro transactions, Horizon’s PS5 Pricing, and now this.
This is not about one remaster. It is that Sony has no problem asking their biggest fans to buy a game a third time for $70 USD. The fact that they even offer at that price to fans is a huge red flag.
When Sony is looking like EA and Activision y’all would have allowed them....

I have a hard time believing that a living,
breathing dynamic open world would be difficult to sell in a variety different styles (Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Historical etc.)
I think it is more a lack of technical experience thus making open world attempts feel like Cyberpunk 2077.
A decade later the only people to top Rockstar’s GTA 5 open world is Rockstar themselves. It would be amazing to see the technical achievement GTA 6 would be.
I can’t believe people want a full price up-rez of a game.
I’m lost for words.
I say this as a massive TLOU and Sony fan. Our industry is heading for some dark days if we’re ok with Elden Ring (a brand new hundred hour RPG) costing $10 LESS than “remake” of a 10 year old game.
Thanks for being sensible bro
Meh…
@Dcat
You can’t be serious.
You mean from the same guys who made Cyberpunk?
The Witcher is no where near as detailed as GTA V.

I wish Square Enix, Ubisoft and other devs were more like Rockstar.
Imagine a Final Fantasy with an open world as detailed as GtaV & RDR2.
Quality over quantity… Take your time and make revolutionary games.
Gamers: “Stop releasing rushed, yearly crap games!!!”
*Rockstar takes it time to craft the two most intricate and detailed open worlds of the 2010’s, averaging 97 on metacritic*
Gamers: “Rockstar is dead to me”
LMAO

@anast
I actually really enjoy a nice long game and I do play a meaty RPG when I’m on vacation.
I also “chip away” at long games but many times I need to pause for weeks on end which makes it harder to get back into the game.
But it just feels like high quality 3-10 hours games are realllllllly rare and I would like to see more of them.
Once it is priced accordingly its fair.
The momentum is wildly different.
And sometimes life gets in the way for weeks and months on end.
Coming back to a heavy RPG/Open World game after not playing for two months really down grades the experience IMO.
I’m goin to queue in here to show support for 3 hour games.
It’s an unpopular opinion for sure but why are three hour games a bad idea?
As someone who has much less time to play games as I get older I love having a few 3-10 hour games that I can get in and out of quickly.
For some gamers we don’t have the luxury of playing 50-100 hour RPGs without a life commitment coming up and derailing our momentum on the game.
Dur...
Bro… You really ok in paying next gen prices for a remake of a game that pretty much plays like it did 10 years ago with better graphics?
Like really you want this to be a trend?
I can’t believe people want a full price up-rez of a game.

Agreed.
