Well they should have started development on the PS5.
2018-2019 dev kits for the PS5 would have been well developed at that point in time.
We’ve had like 5 truly next gen games.
Do I expect to see a radical reinvention within 5 games? No.
By 2007 (1 year into the PS3 generation) we had
Uncharted, Resistance, Motorstorm, COD 4, Super Mario Galaxy, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock all of which were next generation only.

The only game that can be argued to be a massive technical leap over GOW is RDR2.

There is only one first party PS5 exclusive announced for 2023, while they are attempting to push live service and mobile. That’s crazy.
Had I known that in year 3 of the PS5 there would only be 5 or so actual PS5 games I would not have bought it.

There is no mass media bias against Sony.
Sony has been making terrible decisions lately, and I for one welcome the criticism rather than fanboys burying their head in the sand.
And yes, Sony game output is stellar compared to the disaster that is Xbox right now but still PS5 era Sony is seriously lacking.
