All I see from the WiiU faithful is comments like "I never wanted that game anyway", or "that game sucks", or "I didn't buy a WiiU to play those games anyway."
I can understand being content with what the WiiU offers, but this completely dismissive attitude toward third-party games certainly doesn't paint a very complimentary image of the WiiU community.
Some people may have purchased the WiiU solely for 1st party gam...
@sonarus
I think the notion that hardcore sports fans are the target demographic is a little short-sighted.
People that are going to buy Madden and Fifa on day one are already in EA's pocket. I believe this service is designed for people that aren't nearly as dedicated to the franchises on offer.
It's a less expensive way to get access to last year's versions of games that some people only have a passing interest in. $3...
Assuming that everyone that disagrees with you on one topic is the same exact group that disagrees with you on every topic is why we can't have nice things.
I've always enjoyed playing sports games from time to time but have never gotten anywhere near $60 worth of enjoyment out of them. This service works great for me, since I can now play some sports titles I have a minor interest in, but would never purchase outright, for $30 a year.
I've also been wanting to check out the single player of Battlefield 4, but haven't been interested enough to actually purchase the game since it's so heavily MP focused.

Going primarily digital I can't see a moderate speed increase to be worth a sacrifice in storage space. That's why I held out for a 2TB drive. Even a 1TB seems a bit small to me if you're going to be spending $100 or so to upgrade and you plan on using a lot of digital downloads.
My PS3 collectors edition batarang that came with my PS3 version of Batman Arkham Asylum works just as well sitting on top of my Xbox 360 as it does sitting on top of my PS3.
If you're such a hardcore collector that you're super interested in these little thingamajigs then how about you just pick up a standard copy for your PS4 or PC and trade in/sell the Xbox One copy that comes with this CE?
Probably because this crap doesn't matter nearly e...
I'm actually baffled that Jim Sterling, or anyone else, would be baffled.
The Tomb Raider reboot sold pretty darned well by anyone's standards outside of Square Enix. The fact that Square Enix was expecting it to sell like Call of Duty was what made the sales figures appear weak to them. They had terribly unrealistic expectations.
Clearly Square Enix, as evidenced by their silly reaction to Tomb Raider's sales, is blinded by dollar signs. It...
The Suffering had quite a disturbing storyline, definitely memorable. But Manhunt was something else.
The news is that Bungie has made significant enough improvements to Destiny that beta characters simply wouldn't function in the final game.
Significant improvements. Where is the disappointment?
Whatever people may have thought about their characters and gear in the beta, all of that will equate to worthless trash in the final release. It is known.
@Baka-akaB
I, as a rule, don't lump "haters" in with people who dislike things. Lots of people have genuine reasons for disliking things without throwing around blatantly subjective statements like "has nothing to offer but visuals."
Haters tend to view the world as if everything in existence was created for their own personal enjoyment and never seem to consider that just because something doesn't appeal to them personally doe...
@Ghost_Nappa, which would put you well outside the "Most Ryse haters" range.
No game is for everyone. Clearly that applies to Ryse as well. That said, the vast amount of hate thrown around the internet on virtually any topic is overwhelmingly from ignorant parrots chirping nonsense that they have no actual experience to back up.
Most Ryse haters' experience with Ryse is from YouTube experience, nothing more. Kinda ironic actually.
I really enjoyed Ryse. I'm hoping for a sequel with a much wider variety in character models and hopefully fewer turret sections. Overall I found the gameplay fun, which is pretty much the most important part of a game for me.
I guess one man's "tech demo" is another man's enjoyable gaming experience.
You just described every N4G post ever.
This is one reason I feel so confident in the PS4 while the Xbox One kind of concerns me going forward. I look at 1080p as a bit of a small issue, but one that represents a starting point for this gen. It shouldn't be some goal to be achieved through extensive effort on the part of developers.
Resolution isn't nearly as big a deal as so many people make it out to be. That said, achieving 1080p in any given game shouldn't be looked at as the holy grail of visual ...
Of course the 360 and PS3 are capable of 1080p. That's nothing more than resolution, and most HDTVs are 1080p so that's the console standard.
The real question is are they capable of attaining that resolution while also handling anti-aliasing, advanced lighting effects, high polygon counts, high resolution textures, etc., all while maintaining a solid framerate.
1080p is only one of many aspects of what makes a visually stunning game, and certainl...
There will always be people that complain about everything no matter what. I'm sure there would be plenty of whining even if Bungie included every future sequel and all future DLC for the $60 retail price. Some people simply can't be happy unless thier freaking out about some random non-issue.
I don't know about your comment, but I can't help but agree with that hair.
@Destiny1080
Your comment is so full of fanboy ignorance it is up to 400% weaker than simply not commenting at all.
"ddr3 memory which is no longer used in gpus because of its low bandwidth"
GPUs have never used DDR3. DDR3 is currently the standard in PC system memory.
"innovative new exciting traditional"
WTF did I just read?
