This. Variety makes so much more sense than trading in. Unless of course you're strapped for cash and can get a dollar for dollar trade on your console.
If you purchase a console in its first year and then trade it in that same year you're doing it wrong.
You have to be extremely dim to not realize the first year is going to be sparse as far as game releases are concerned. You have noone to blame but yourself.
Can we please stop giving a crap whether someone incorrectly uses the term MMO?
I can't even imagine a scenario that involves an Xbox One without a Gold subscription. I just can't.
Destiny
Lords of the Fallen
Dragon Age
Far Cry
Shadow of Mordor
There's five. This isn't even close to everything on my list. There's nowhere near enough time.
There's simply no such thing as "better exclusives" outside of personal opinion.
Sunset Overdrive is nowhere near as good a racing game as Driveclub. Driveclub is a crap shooter compared to the Master Chief collection. Arguing about video games is a much bigger waste of time than playing video games.
Seriously, why do people argue about such ambiguity? The same reason we play games. Cuz it's fun.
I'd really like to know what wouldn't ignite a flame war. It's like spontaneous combustion. You could say "I love all consoles ever" and a flame war would ensue.
I'd say they're both unmatched since those numbers don't match.
When I heard the statement it seemed like it was pretty obviously referencing the fact that PS+ was required for online gaming, i.e. "fully experience Destiny."
I really don't see how anyone could construe "fully experience Destiny" as referencing access to the Beta. Clearly the Beta is not going to be the full experience.
Considering the fact that preordering doesn't cost a dime I don't really see an issue anyway. Just preorder on Amazon, use the code, then cancel if you don't want the game. No cost whatsoever.
I really enjoyed Killzone and Ryse.
Ryse was repetitive as heck, but I loved the combat so I didn't mind doing the same enjoyable thing over and over again.
I feel like Killzone did some really interesting things with the OWL. I love being able to essentially flank enemies with the OWL in single player. It just feels really tactical compared to more straight forward shooter campaigns.
I'm not much of a multiplayer gamer though s...
The one thing that irritates me about inFamous is that the main character isn't reflected in anything. There are all of these reflective surfaces all over the place reflecting light and the environment beautifully, but if I walk up to a puddle or any other reflective surface it's like I'm a vampire.
Wait a minute, is Delsin a vampire? Oh snap!
Fortunately it still is for most of us. Maybe not the vocal majority, but the majority nonetheless.
Lighting effects, particle effects, anti-aliasing, character model complexity and all the other "bells and whistles" have a much greater impact on overall visual fidelity than native resolution will ever have.
Sure 480i is gonna look crap on any HDTV, but 720p with a solid framerate and all the bells and whistles including anti-aliasing will always look better than the same game downgraded in order to hit 1080p resolution.
I say this simply by s...
I agree with you. It's the same reason I don't play subscription based games. My gaming habits aren't nearly focused enough to justify paying by the hour or month for anything. Just let me buy a game and play it when I feel like it.
It'll be 3DS only, mark my words.
I think everything will be just fine. The "magic" of Mario's continued success in the platforming genre has far more to do with amazing level design than how difficult it is to place assets on a set of scrolling screens.
I expect this will be proven when a billion totally crappy user generated levels pop up shortly after this is released.
Amazing level design will always require far more than just drag and drop level effort.
Kids are so cute with their LBP references.
Makes me think of a generation that believes Apple invented the telephone.
I'd be down with an original Zelda RPG creator. I remember my friend and his dad mapped out the entire game on graph paper back in the day. I can only imagine how much fun it would be to create your own world in that style and populate it as you see fit.
Really, cuz I have an Xbox One. So how exactly would I be better off trading it in?
Before you answer consider the fact that I also own a PS4, Vita, PS3, 360, and a plenty capable gaming PC. I also am really excited to play the Master Chief Collection on Xbox One.
So, again, how would I be better off trading in my Xbox One?
