If you attach an age limit to a particular genre of entertainment you may be a tad self-absorbed and out of touch.

I see this as the same ignorance that views people that enjoy Magic the Gathering or D&D as acne infested virgins, and gamers at large a bunch of pre-pubescent males.

People from all walks of life enjoy a wide variety of entertainment. Generalizations just come across as ignorant these days.

After playing the Alpha my only concern is that September is still 3 months away.

This "opinion piece" is literally nothing more than a glorified comment reacting to other N4G comments and it has been approved by the community? SMH

@donwel

What can I say, I've been trolled in equal parts by my own tendancy to read too much into things and Anouma's early ambiguity about the trailer.

I admit my failure and find solace in the fact that we've all got an amazing Zelda to look forward to. I can't wait.

This may come as a shock to you but the Earth is populated with a lot of women that have both short hair and breasts small enough to not be noticable under loose fitting clothing such as would be worn in combat.

The moment "Link" threw off the cloak it seemed pretty darned obvious it was a reveal that what we all assumed was Link was indeed Zelda, or at least someone other than who everyone was expecting it to be.

If it was just Link under the c...

@Chrischi1988

It's a colloquialism. It's not meant to be serious. It's just a way of intimating that something is unnatural.

I thought it was pretty obvious that the charcter in the trailer wasn't Link, but rather Zelda. When she threw off the cloak it seemed pretty clear to me that the intention was to reveal that what we were all expecting (Link) was actually Zelda.

Rewind the video back to the very beginning and you'll notice that when they started it didn't say "Legend of Zelda" but rather just one single word against a black screen "Zelda". I think right there...

I'd suggest that if we're going to start taking "God intended" comments seriously we might as well realize that there's no evidence to back up either of our statements.

I stand by the basic premise of my supposedly dumb comment which is that motion controls suck. Zelda games have been amazing for generations without requiring waggle and flailing.

Ugh, motion controls. Please NO! Can't we just go back to playing games the way God intended!?

Such an awesome reveal. I'm loving the art style and the reveal of Zelda woopin' some monster butt. Imagine a Zelda game where you actually play as Zelda. I can't wait!

I'm cool with just considering both conferences a source of more awesome gaming information. I don't see anything positive coming out of this "E3 battle" crap.

I just can't wrap my head around the concept of a conference somehow "winning" anything. I guess it must be a Charlie Sheen thing that just doesn't resonate with me.

This may sound crazy, but it's basically a third person action fighting game that perfectly harnesses the essence of Magic the Gathering.

Crazy, but amazing.

This is the greatest news I could possibly imagine. Exclusivity notwithstanding.

Wow really? You can hate on IGN all you want but 99% of what passes for "news" on this site is nothing more than some random gamer's personal blog post.

I don't believe real journalism exists anymore. In recent history information has become a commodity that is mass produced rather than discovered.

I didn't purchase an install base, I purchased a piece of tech. Expecting peak performance out of that tech isn't whining, it's a logical expectation.

It's pretty pathetic that there are so many people that blindly hate on "indie games."

I understand that not every game is going to appeal to everyone, but it seems like there are a lot of people that just refuse to even try out a game if it doesn't look a certain way, or doesn't receive a particular review score, or fit into their preconceived notion of what a "good game" supposedly is.

So far Sony has provided a really gr...

Mario Kart battle mode may not be for you, but for those of us that have enjoyed it since the original I think it'd be nice if Nintendo put in the effort to create proper battle arena maps.

I guess that's enough "bitchy moaning" for me right now.

How exactly do customers speak if not with their money? You do understand what a customer is don't you?

I love how so many people like to pretend that only the companies they personally despise give a crap about turning a profit.

Listening to the money IS listening to the customers. Your wallet is your voice. Pretending otherwise is delusional.
