Looks pretty good for a game running at 1080p and 60fps, especially when other third person multiplayer betas only run at 900p and look this bad http://i.imgur.com/htfLBXz.... Suddenly Gears of War 4 actually looks impressive.

Go figure, turns out real 1080p/60fps footage of the game actually looks impressive. They've done a good job with the engine and tech there, especially since this is a genuine alpha version of the game. Hopefully this game finds its way onto PC sometime (and not the horrid Windows store) because all the gameplay footage that's just been released looks really fun.

"It is the same game every year"

"now it's a different game"

Uh-huh...

Also, you said that the characters still move and feel the same which isn't true, the last couple of games have completely changed the movement system entirely.

There's been far too many times where I've seen great franchises ruined by the insistence of changing things just for the sake of it, so as far as this game is concerned then I'd say keeping things the same is a good thing because that's what people want.

Let's not forget either, Gears of War: Judgment changed the formula quite drastically and people hated it, so a return back to basics seems like a win/win for the developers and the fans. I wish more deve...

Yeah. I can't stand GTA Online and think it's a shameful microtransaction-infested f2p crapfest with a premium pricetag, but the Housers trying to muscle this guy out and claim credit for his hard work is absolutely despicable and I hope that he takes them to the cleaners for it. It happens far too much really, people's superiors and bosses getting all the credit and reward for the work and effort put in by the little guys. Benzies wasn't one of the little guys of course, but ...

I'm pretty sure that whatever this rumored PS4K or PS4.5 is will be Sony's response. Same goes for Microsoft if they have updated and more powerful hardware as well. We know Sony needs the extra horsepower to support VR anyways, and I imagine Microsoft are salivating at the opportunity to push the reset button on this console generation so to speak, and put out more competitive hardware.

E3 is going to be really interesting since all signs are point to it essentially ...

Here's my personal favorites that I'd like to see return:

Fort
Lost City
Trainwreck
Sanctuary
Cave
Highrise
Desert Village
Chateau

I think Highrise in particular would be great fun with the addition of some grappling points to make use of the new grappling hook. I always loved how vertical that map was and getting to swing around would be great fun.

Yeah, it looks like one of Suda's low effort shovelware titles. The guy can put out some truly great games when he wants to (Killer 7 will forever be a classic) but damn, he puts out some real stinkers too.

And this has just skyrocketed to the number one spot in my most anticipated games list. I still play the original on PC to this day because it's hands-down the best multiplayer game in a long time and as close to perfect as I've ever seen from a game design standpoint, so I can't wait for this to drop. Respawn are without a doubt one of the most talented developers in the business.

The original Motorstorm was underwhelming, especially after the faked trailer they were passing off as gameplay. Pacific Rift was an excellent game however and a huge improvement. Apocalypse was a huge step backwards and yeah, DC was just offensively bad. I guess one out of four is better than zero out of four, but they're just not very good developers really.

I'm still sad that Sony gave Studio Liverpool the axe instead of these guys, and now they both got dropped lo...

Folks here also said that the huge amount of layoffs at the studio last year were perfectly normal. Folks here lie a lot.

Yeah, it is. Absolutely terrible with zero redeeming qualities.

Just bear in mind that DC was massively overhyped in basically every single way. One of the worst racing games I've ever played and I suspect people will judge their games more sensibly now that they're multiplatform.

I recall a lot of outrage not long ago for Microsoft's hiring of "booth babes" at a recent event, and how disgusted people were by the notion of it. It's going to be interesting to see if those same people are disgusted by Alison Rapp's line of work (along with her pedophilic ideals) or if they'll have double standards.

I expect the NeoGaf thread on this matter to be utterly hilarious given how those fools fall over themselves to be utterly outraged ...

Well considering how noisy the fans in the PS4 are I'd say a larger console with better airflow is a win/win situation to be honest, especially since all the insiders that have talked about it have mentioned a die shrink as well.

After seeing that the PS4 version of Dark Souls 3 suffers from the same framepacing issues as Bloodborne I'm glad we actually have the option to go with PC and enjoy this one at a decent framerate. The differences in framerate in this video are really shocking when put side-by-side like this. Shame we'll never get to experience Bloodborne properly though, unless Sony goes back and updates the game to run better on the PS4K.

They never bothered to fix those problems in Bloodborne, so I wouldn't expect them to be fixed in Dark Souls 3 either.

I think it's safe to say that Konami would have preferred David Hayter as well since we know one of the reasons for the MGS fallout was Konami being frustrated with the development costs spiraling out of control, and we all know that one way to send development costs skyrocketing is by hiring Hollywood actors.

David Hayter is a much better voice actor than Keifer Sutherland and he would have been a lot cheaper to hire as well. That's probably why Konami decided to cut...

Neither The Last of Us or Journey are exclusives. Bloodborne and Super Mario 3D world are, though.

Yup, Irishguy95 pretty much summed-up this generation perfectly. I don't have an Xbox One so can't comment on the quality of exclusives but on the PS4 yeah, it's absolute garbage aside from Bloodborne. It's completely different from last generation where the exclusives were the cream of the crop and real reasons to actually own hardware.
