If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I can think of some franchises that I wish had never been reinvigorated because it ruined them.
I think so many people are still playing the game because good gameplay is more important than story to them.
I'm fairly sure Nathan Drake was based on Nathan Fillion when they designed him. I recall reading about how they wanted Fillion to be the voice actor as well.
What does the second Naughty Dog team do?
Uncharted 2: 2009
Uncharted 3: 2011
The Last of Us: 2013
Do you seriously think that Naughty Dog has two teams and they take four years to make each game? The people who made Uncharted also made Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3 and The Last of Us. Meanwhile, this mythical second team of theirs...
I really hope it doesn't. Uncharted is a great franchise and The Last of Us was decent, it would be really disappointing to see Naughty Dog waste two or three years developing a new Crash Bandicoot game when they could be making something far better.
Makes me want to see a new Shank game, to be honest. Shank 2 was excellent and did a great job of accomplishing the style of gameplay that I think these devs are striving for.
I don't know if I'd call it brilliant given that the track is literally just a circle, but I love the visual stylings and how colorful it is.
I last played the game in December, maybe January, and it didn't work very well. Maybe it works better now? It's worth bearing in mind however that although some people on N4G say that the game works fine, the people who actually made the game (along with Sony) state that the online still doesn't work properly. At least, that's their excuse for still not releasing the PS+ version anyways.
It's also worth taking into account that even when the game launched...
Yup, Codemasters have just generally lost their way. They used to be renowned for putting out great racing games but it all went downhill for some reason. I'd love to see a genuine no-nonsense rally game from them, but they seem obsessed with DLC and cramming stupid non-rally modes into their games. It's a shame as well because the actual rally races in Dirt 3 were hilarious fun.
I don't blame you, there's been an awful lack of fun racing games for years now and I'd give anything for a new Burnout at this point.
It would have been interesting to see Halo go up against Uncharted before it was delayed, since they're both the biggest exclusive IPs on their respective platforms.
Come to think of it, when you take into account the Star Wars Battlefront game and Fallout 4 (maybe?) releasing later this year, along with the yearly Call of Duty title, it would have been really interesting to see how each game fared when they all went up against each other.
Shame that this thinking allows Rockstar to get away with whatever they want, like repeatedly reducing the amount of money players can earn in GTA Online so they can sell more of their DLC Shark Cards.
Sucks seeing a good game ruined with disgraceful DLC practices, but they get away with it because they're Rockstar and everyone loves GTA.
I couldn't care less about charging for easy fatalities.
What I do care about is that they released a patch which lowered the amount of gold that players earn in the game, and gold is the in-game currency used to unlock things in the krypt.
Conveniently, they just so happen to have DLC microtransactions for buying gold. The fact that they released a patch to decrease the amount of gold players can earn without DLC is utterly disgraceful, and I wish the me...
Looks soulless. The live-action video and black and white keys looks awful. The old Guitar Hero games were bright, colorful and fun. They had wacky designs for the musicians and it screamed personality and style. This new one misses the point entirely.
I agree with Baka-akaB.
Having said that however, I just looked at footage on IGN and it looks so... soulless. The crazy cartoonish designs are gone entirely, replaced with a first-person perspective looking out over video footage of a real concert.
The color is gone as well, which also adds to that dull, soulless vibe I was talking about. No more red/green/blue/yellow etc. instead it's just black and white keys.
I can't say I'm a...
Well all these subscriptions could add up very fast.
PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Now and possibly EA Access? Imagine how much money you'd be forking over in monthly/yearly subscriptions for all this stuff. Then add in Season Passes for various games as well...
This industry is becoming very expensive to support, and the sad thing is you can spend all of this money and not actually own anything for it. Cancel your PS+ sub? All your games go bye-bye. Canc...
I can understand people being disappointed at the lack of a raid for HoW but speaking personally (and I'm aware I might be in the minority here) I'd much rather have this arena mode, which sounds a lot like a horde mode.
In my opinion, the two raids they've released so far were rubbish, and that style of gameplay just doesn't suit the game at all. They're okay the first time through, but the puzzle-style gameplay just doesn't work in my opinion and rel...
The last thing I care about when I'm playing a video game is how realistic it is. If anything, I consider realism to be a negative, not a positive. Everyone has different tastes of course but for me the concept of fighting aliens in strange jungles or stomping around in giant robots is much more exciting than uh, invading a house...
I think that about a lot of IPs. What happened to Burnout? Hugely successful racing franchise that just disappeared completely. Where's the Tony Hawk games? Where's SSX?
Bye-bye to Rockstar's scummy microtransaction Shark Cards :)
