While I think making fanboyish comparisons to remasters on other consoles is silly, I do agree that asking $40 for this is ridiculous.
I'd have liked to see Kratos return. I thought it was great having him in the last game and he actually fit in with the world/aesthetic really well, in my opinion.
That's a lot of DLC, I guess.
It will probably have a nice trailer and lots of hype to get everyone preordering, but in traditional EA/Dice fashion it will launch a broken mess. I'd love to be wrong, though.
God of War Ascension was awful so I'd prefer the option to buy God of War 3 on its own, rather than stuck in a bundle with an inflated price. Hopefully Sony sells this at a sensible price as well, and then gives us some ports of Uncharted 2 and Wipeout HD.

My only console is a PS4 so rambling on about sales of Sunset Overdrive doesn't mean much to me, I'm afraid.
I was really disappointed that I'll never get to play Sunset Overdrive because Sony refused to let Insomniac Games own the IP. If Sony's smart and want to snag Hideo, they'll let him make whatever he wants and let him own it as well.
I think it should have been priced the same as the Telltale adventure games like Walking Dead & Game of Thrones.
Are you sure that The Order sold well? I know people on N4G insisted that the game was a huge success but the actual charts across various retailers showed that it debuted quite low, before promptly disappearing entirely the following week. Curious what the sources for the supposed success of the game are.
I think some of the higher-ups might have been sacked, yeah. There was a leak a couple days ago about these layoffs and apparently a lot of studio veterans had been laid off, some of the guys had been at the studio since the beginning.
The term 'layoffs' refers to full-time employees losing their jobs. Nobody calls temp contracts coming to an end a layoff.
That's probably something to do with the first being a rally game and the others shoehorning in silly stuff like gymkhana. If I buy a rally game it's because I want rally racing, not to do donuts in a car park...
Just wait, the Star Wars Battlefront launch will be a complete disaster. People will buy it on hype and fancy trailers alone, though.
I feel like every time I click to see new images of MGSV, they always end up being slight variations of helicopter interior shots or slightly different pictures of Mother Base.
This is great news. I've played some Titanfall on PC and it's definitely one of the best games released so far this generation. A lot of creativity and innovation in that game, and it's just genuinely fun and enjoyable to play as well. It was frustrating being limited to such a small community on PC (it seems a lot of PC gamers don't like using Origin, which the game was exclusive to) but it's one of few games from recent memory that truly felt like it was using the extra ...
I mainly play Uncharted for the multiplayer.
I'm more concerned about pay to win problems and an overabundance of DLC.
Go look in the PlayStation Store at how much multiplayer DLC there is for The Last of Us, there's about 140 pieces of DLC!! Some of it is pay to win nonsense with special weapons and abilities for people who cough up the cash, which is really disheartening to see and makes me worry about the multiplayer component of Uncharted 4.
They already went crazy with DLC for Uncharted 3 (...
Yeah, they don't have two teams at Naughty Dog. They just split resources so when a game enters full production during the development cycle, they send maybe 5% of their team to start pre-production on their next game. So while 95% of people were working on Uncharted 3, once it hit full steam about a year before launch they'd have a small group of people start early work on The Last of Us, and so on and so forth. It's the most efficient way of doing things to minimize having peopl...
Well this isn't the best news but if the game needed the extra dev time then it's better to do it right than have another rushed game. It is frustrating though considering my only console is the PS4 and the games I was looking forward to this year are Bloodborne, Metal Gear Solid V and Uncharted 4. Oh well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Hope Sony gets their act together with their exclusives though.
I agree. The remastering is welcome and I'm glad they're doing it, but the price point is appalling. Asking $40 for a resolution bump to an old game is obnoxious, it should have been a $15-$20 PSN release.
