I guess you guys missed the article at the top of the news page:

Sony Admits 1st Party PS4 Games in 2015 "a Little Sparse;" 3rd Party Exclusive "Difficult to Secure"

Maybe you guys are seeing a different N4G to me? Strange, that article is top of the page for me. It's hilarious being called a troll for mentioning something Andrew House said by the way.

Don't stay up until 4am just to watch it, you'll only end up disappointed. Andrew House himself said Sony doesn't really have much to show, so getting yourself hyped up for that and ruining your sleeping pattern isn't terribly wise, in my opinion.

Yeah, it's a shame to see the quality of PS+ decline so sharply right after they make it mandatory for access to online multiplayer. Haven't been impressed with the service at all since the PS4 launched. I was one of those idiots who honestly believed it would get even better with the success of PS4 and the extra subscribers from making it necessary to subscribe to for online multiplayer. Boy was I wrong, Sony's pulling the same sorta crap I disliked Microsoft for.

Xbox only gets games in Winter. PlayStation only gets games in Spring. It sucks either way you slice it.

If someone leaves voluntarily I wouldn't say there's any cause for concern to be honest. It's only when you hear the term 'layoffs' that alarm bells should start ringing.

I'd rather see Sony use their money to fund a game from competent developers instead.

He's probably referring to the online multiplayer being broken at launch. That's why Naughty Dog released the two new DLC maps for TLOU: Remastered for free as an apology, they were originally going to charge for them but since the game launched broken they gave them away for free to make up for it.

If this remaster is real, that basically confirms what we all knew the real reason for Sony delaying Uncharted 4 was. They're going crazy with these remasters. I doubt Naughty Dog minds the extra dev time though, even if they'll probably be spending it working on DLC for the season pass we all know is coming.

Probably because it's easier to work microtransactions into multiplayer. Just look at the state of GTA5, that's what Rockstar's gonna be aiming for from now on. We're going to see a lot more free-to-play mechanics worming their way into full-price retail games.

Yup. Rockstar is just being disgustingly greedy. They already released a patch that reduces the amount of cash you earn for various things in the game, just to make their microtransactions that have no place in a full-priced release more desirable.

Well this NFS game will have had the same amount of dev time as every other NFS game: two years.

I know they're trying to play the angle of having worked on the game for longer than usual but it's a lie. They just had different developers filling in the gaps so that they could maintain yearly releases before, but now it's just one developer and their two year dev cycle is the same as always.

I'd say that's exactly why it is surprising, to be honest. Nintendo releases so few games on their home consoles (this is a particularly huge issue due to lack of third party support) that if they take away backwards compatibility, the library of games available to owners shrinks even more.

The big problem with Nintendo consoles has always been very poor software support. When they do actually release a game they're good obviously, but releases are so few and far ...

Funnily enough, Criterion games sold a lot better when they were making Burnout games as well. Maybe EA should let them do what they do best?

Waiting for Konami's lawyers to demand that Kojima's name be removed from all references to said tree and that people only refer to it as "a tree" or "the tree" instead.

The NFS developers have been heavily against customization in the last NFS games, so I can't help but get the feeling they'll simply be using the Underground name and setting, but not actually delivering the game that people want at all.

It would be nice to be wrong of course, but I don't think it's worth getting excited about. Besides, the last game these guys put out was Need For Speed Rivals which was pretty bad. Before that, a lot of these developers worke...

"I'm a bit worried they'll be too complacent because of that sales lead though"

This is exactly what Microsoft did with the Xbox 360 when it was successful. Their exclusive lineup suffered horribly and consistently looked weak in comparison to the PS3 lineup which was seeing great exclusives games added every year.

It looks like Sony has fallen into the same place that Microsoft did back then, and just like I cr...

I really do hope that's true and that Platinum Games are working on a PS4 exclusive. Those are the exact type of developers that Sony should be funding.

I hope they announce a new expansion at E3. Reaper of Souls was great.

I'd like to see that as well. They could no doubt craft some truly nightmarish and bizarre alien worlds to explore, and it would be interesting to see a spaceship used as a central hub. It's fun to imagine all of the bizarre alien/sci-fi melee weapons that they would design too.

As a PS4 owner, my primary concern is with getting good exclusives. Third party marketing deals don't really mean much since I didn't buy this console to play multiplatform games, I bought it based on the strength of the PS3's exclusive lineup and the hopes that Sony would continue to offer a strong lineup.

Same goes for sales numbers. I don't care how much Sony is beating the competition because when I turn my PS4 on, I can't play sales numbers can I? No,...
