1080p and 60fps would be great yeah, but after discovering that they're completely removed the multiplayer and co-op from this collection my desire to play it has nosedived. Why would you take out multiplayer?! So stupid.
I could understand not including the multiplayer component from Uncharted 2 since all the content was rereleased for Uncharted 3 multiplayer anyways, but stripping it all out is just awful. What a waste.
I'm hoping for Dishonored 2.
For me personally, I'm just happy to see a game showing what it really looks like, rather than faked "in-engine" pre-rendered footage that only leads to inevitable downgrades. It's nice to see the opposite happen and have a game actually look underwhelming, because at least you know you're not being lied to.
Apparently Bungie will be announcing a new expansion for Destiny at E3 called The Taken King. I assume Sony has more exclusive DLC content for that like they did with Dark Below and House of Wolves.
I remember the developers saying the game is coming to PC. The game is being made in the Unity engine anyway so the PC version already exists, they'll just be exporting it to PS4 first I think.
As for there being too much faith in the game or expectations being set too high, I think it was Sony who've decided to latch onto the game and push it as a supposed AAA release. I imagine that must be nerve wrecking for a small team (3 people?!) who make indie games. The probl...
I support feminism but struggle to see Anita as anything more than a fraud that's exploiting a movement for her own personal gains. Amongst all the scandals of faking her own death threats and the constant reminders that she does little to no research of the topics she chooses to discuss, I'm glad that more and more people are starting to wise up to what kind of person she is. I think it's despicable that she's taken so much money off people who thought they were supporting a ...
Do we know that they're returning? I think it's a given they'll be present in multiplayer at least, but I thought that the only confirmed characters for the story so far were Drake and his brother? I think I read somewhere that Chloe and Charlie won't be returning, which is a shame.
I know that the last XCOM game was good, as was its expansion, but the screenshots for XCOM 2 really have me wishing that the game had better graphics. It's not much of a complaint because I value gameplay over graphics, but the art style they've chosen seems quite bland and generic. It's a shame they couldn't come up with a more distinct visual style for the game, I think.
What I find weird is that they replaced Hayter with someone worse, rather than someone better. All of Keifer's dialog is terrible, the guy just can't voice act at all and I have no idea at all why they hired him and wasted all that money. If they wanted a new voice actor, why not get someone better? Keifer just mumbles all his lines into some kind of verbal sludge, it's awful.
Yeah, the multiplayer is the main reason I've played the Uncharted games and The Last of Us, and introducing those modes was the best thing that Naughty Dog has done for these IPs. While I'm sure the singleplayer for Uncharted 4 will be good, the main thing I'm looking forward to is the multiplayer. I'll play the singleplayer of these games once or twice, but the multiplayer? It lasts me years.
My only hope is that Naughty Dog don't go crazy with the DLC a...
It seems that Microsoft saves all their big games for the Holiday season, while Sony saves all their big games for Spring. It would be nice if both companies could spread out major releases better than they do.
It would depend on how long the original marketing deal between Activision and Microsoft was. Didn't they announce a 10 year partnership originally? If so, I would assume the contract would remain in place until those 10 years had passed.
As it is however, Call of Duty seems to be on the decline in terms of popularity, because attempts at launching new sub-IPs in the franchise such as Ghosts and Advanced Warfare didn't really take off. I think Black Ops 3 will be the ...
Maybe Evolve scored higher because it was more fun to play?
Considering the wealth of connectivity problems other EA games have had as well (The Sims & Battlefield spring to mind) it just spells disaster since even if your connection is fine, you can't rely on theirs being stable.
You'd think they'd have also looked at other online-focused racers like The Crew & DriveClub and think it best to avoid online requirements as well. Are they really so ignorant of what's going on around them?
PS4 hasn't sold for RRP here in the UK for a very long time. It's supposed to be £349.99 but retailers have been selling it for much less and with a lot of bundled games as well. I got my PS4 for £329.99 with GTA5, The Last of Us Remastered and Driveclub. Sony might not want to have an official price cut but every retailer has slashed the price regardless.
Yeah, anything that draws attention to the horrific (and probably illegal) refund policies (or lack thereof) for digital purchases is a good thing. It's utterly disgusting that companies can sell broken products and consumers have no way of being refunded. I hope that the BBC makes a huge deal out of this, enough to hopefully get some actual investigations underway.
I'd like to see another GTA game set in 1960's London.
Ditto.
It's just sad seeing someone whine that people can co-op with higher level players now provided they have a password. So what if they can? If it makes the game more enjoyable for them that's only a good thing. It doesn't affect me, and it doesn't affect the author of this article either.
The utterly bizarre obsession some people have with the difficulty of these games makes me cringe. One of the greatest innovations with this series (I&...
I think platform exclusive DLC is bad in general, but at the same time I won't deny that it's nice to see Sony securing a lot after Microsoft snagged so much during the last console generation, which was frustrating as a PS3 owner. It's still bad obviously, but it's nice to see the tables turned as well.
So they remove all the multiplayer and co-op modes, but just so happen to conveniently grant access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta if we buy this collection? This is the sort of thing I'd have expected from Microsoft, not Sony.
