Yeah, that's my concerns as well. I'll be really disappointed if a huge chunk of their show is rambling on about Morpheus and those stupid new Move controllers. I don't want any more stupid gimmicks, last gen the Move/Kinect/3D crap really started to ruin the first party lineups of both consoles and I really don't want to see that happen again, especially since Sony has had some major quality control issues with exclusives as it is. I just want good games.
Yeah, the Bad Company games had much better destruction than Battlefield 3 & 4 as well. I think with Battlefield 3 & 4 they went too crazy with the size and scale of maps. It worked best in Bad Company 2 where maps were smaller and combat was more focused, and they had much more destructible environments and buildings. The levels actually looked completely different at the end of a match, it was awesome.
Well for VR to work you have to run at 60fps twice (once for each eye) hence the 120fps target. Developers couldn't get away with 30fps in each eye because it would be too slow and likely cause motion sickness. Imagine if you actually saw in 30fps in real life, it would be really disorientating. Same applies to VR, the tech requires high framerates for immersion.
It's a lot better than PSNow as well. I don't understand how Sony can have the nerve to claim EA Access is bad value when it completely blows PSNow out the water for price and content offered.
It's likely greed, more than anything. EA Access on PS4 would highlight just how much of a ripoff PSNow and PS+ is, and Sony likely doesn't want the competition either.
You learned nothing from Move & Kinect?
Yup, just look at how poorly DmC sold compared to DMC4. Didn't Capcom have to readjust sales estimates for DmC twice to shareholders? I remember the game completely bombing and selling far less than they anticipated, even after they already slashed their sales estimates in half.
They should have listened to the fans, and they should have let a competent developer make the game instead. Ninja Theory have yet to make a good game, and their arrogance and stubborn refusal to ...
I agree with Ritsuka666. Ninja Theory have yet to make a good game and they absolutely butchered Devil May Cry. They can create nice graphics sure, and they know how to use color well, but they simply can't craft good gameplay, especially for the genre of game that they keep trying to tackle.
The saddest part is that they honestly thought that most complaints with their DmC reboot were about how Dante looked, and not the atrocious combat system and weak gameplay. They'...
I hope we get Sunset Overdrive on PS4 soon then, I've been wanting to play that game :(
Interestingly, I remember reading about how the DriveClub devs wanted to give the game the Gran Turismo branding so that it could be a spinoff much like Forza Horizon is to Forza Motorsport. Apparently Sony were strongly against doing that, however.
I wonder if Gran Turismo Sport could see release this year? The fact that it's not a numbered title implies that it could be a smaller release to tide people over until GT7 launches? It seems like it could be similar to GT5: Prologue, at least.
If so, it would be a smart decision by Sony and PD, provided that the game is priced correctly. I remember when GT5: Prologue was released here it retailed at £19.99, less than half the price of a standard game, to reflect the...
The game looks fantastic but I really hope it has a horde mode similar to what we saw in A Crack in Time as well, it suited the franchise really well.
I hope that Insomniac brings Sunset Overdrive to the PS4 as well, I've been dying to play that game ever since they released it.
My comment wasn't dramatic. Your comment is bordering on being so however, seeing as you see fit to get upset over what I said.
That's cruel. The sad thing however is that you're probably right. Andrew House said their lineup is sparse as it is, and if they're giving up a huge chunk of their conference for Morpheus then those of us who just want some traditional games to play are probably going to disappointed.
It's the Move/Kinect fiasco all over again, and at the worst possible time as well.
I hope those of us who don't plan on buying Morpheus will have something to look forward to at least, but I'm fearing the worst.
That's actually a really good use of VR tech, it's well suited to driving games since you're sat in a stationary position in the cockpit much like you are on your sofa while playing the game.
I'm fairly sure that Sony is saving that to be an E3 announcement. If they are, then I would hope that they're giving the full game away after delaying something that they promised for so long. It would come across as disrespectful to everyone that's supported them if the PS+ edition is still essentially a glorified demo, and we all know that even if they gave the full game away they'd be making plenty of money off people who enjoyed it and decided to purchase the DLC.
I'm curious as to whether they'll add any more tracks to the game in the future, seeing as it's being treated as more of a service now by Sony. I'm not necessarily talking about new locations either, but perhaps new tracks in Canada/Norway/Chile/India/Scot land/Japan. As far as I'm aware they already added a new track in each location once before, and it would be strange if they continued to pump out new cars without anywhere new to drive them. I know that people have been...
Dishonored 2 is my most anticipated game from any developer/publisher.
The first game is easily one of the best games from the last console generation and I can't wait to see what Arkane does next. Definitely one of the most talented developers around.
This is why I'm not buying this game brand new. I don't mind waiting a small while to purchase a used copy of this game to ensure that none of my money goes to Konami.
This isn't just about Kojima, but also the way that his staff at Kojima Productions have been treated, and the high likelihood that a lot of them will lose their jobs along with Kojima after this game has launched.
That means that purchasing this game does absolutely nothing to supp...
Yeah, I hate it when great games get sequels.
