Until Borderlands 3 launches, at which point everybody forgets about their lies, deception and generally despicable business practices to throw cash down on preorders and season passes because the trailer has internet memes and dubstep.
Yeah, buying games at launch now is just completely pointless because the vast majority are broken in some way and take months of patching to fix. By the time a game is actually playable you can probably buy it for half price and in a bundle with all the DLC and actually get a complete experience. I feel sorry for people who still preorder games.
Come on guys, you gotta give 'em time for all those downgrades.
I'm interested in knowing if this will release on Steam or if Microsoft are going to do some Windows 10-only nonsense and lock it behind the Windows store or something? I'm hoping it's a Steam release.
Did Criterion mention if Burnout Revenge was being considered for Xbox backwards compatibility as well? I am seriously considering buying an Xbox One if I can check out the exclusives and have access to Burnout Paradise, Burnout Revenge, Gears of War 3 etc.
I could buy Burnout Paradise for PC right now since it's only £5 on Steam, but Criterion only released the 'Ultimate Box' edition of the game, so the DLC that came after that isn't available and never ...
Yeah it does, I just hope this reveal really is a new Burnout game and not an update on that extreme sports game they showed a year or two back which looked pretty bad. We've had too many racing games focusing on realism for years now, it's about time Burnout made a return and reminded us all how fun racing games can be.
If you removed all the multiplatform games from that list of so-called exclusives it would be pathetically small.
Three of those four games you list as being exclusives aren't actually exclusive.
It's kinda funny that for all the complaints the naysayers have about COD games being rehashed every year, the truth of the matter is that the COD games are actually far too different for many fans liking and a lot of people wish they were more like Modern Warfare 1 & 2.
That would have a huge effect on the entire computing industry, not just consoles. Nintendo & Sony would be put in a difficult position as would Microsoft's main rival in the computing space, Apple. I think a lot of Apple products rely on AMD chips, and future iMac models are rumored to be going with AMD as well. I'm not sure if Microsoft would be breaching anti-competition laws?
I think Peter Moore did a really good job actually, since his time at Xbox was when the Xbox 360 was at its peak and had a firm grip on the core gaming market. The 360 ran into trouble the moment Peter Moore left and was replaced by Don Mattrick, and then the whole focus shifted to services and Kinect and all that nonsense, which began a downward spiral that hit rock bottom with the unveiling of the Xbox One since most of the core team who crafted Xbox into what it was had left or been pushed...
It does look great but I hope the game has some actual color, because the brown/gray coloring really is dreary. Would be nice to maybe see some purple/red sky and storms brewing.
Then why is Sony charging money for online multiplayer if it's not even their servers?
It's frustrating that people have to pay for PS+/XBL subscriptions to access online multiplayer and that money doesn't go towards an improved online experience at all. These developers/publishers still use ancient P2P matchamking while Sony & Microsoft laugh at all the easy profit. Online gaming should be free like it used to be (and still is on PC) because neither Sony or Microsoft have done anything to justify the subscription fees that they charge.
Shame about all those remasters then, huh? :p
@Foxtrot
It's depressing to see the amount of disagrees you're getting for something we all know to be true. I'm not sure if people are just suddenly being really naive when it comes to EA/Dice or if their excitement for Star Wars is making them blind to what's happening, but this game has very obviously been neutered to cash-in on a very heavy DLC push.
It really is bizarre to see brand loyalty (be it an IP, developer, publisher, console manu...
On the subject of AI soldiers following you around, wasn't that actually one of the defining features of the first Halo game? You had all these regular human soldiers fighting with you and it made the player feel more powerful and like a true spartan because the regular human soldiers died so easily? Wasn't that actually part of the core Halo experience and part of the design process for highlighting how great spartan soldiers really were?
I've never actually play...
So we finally get the F-Zero game we've all been asking for and Reddit has to go and ruin our chances by complaining on Nintendo's behalf about a placeholder ship that's modeled after the Blue Falcon?
Did that really just happen? Jesus. Real shame too, the gameplay footage looked amazing.
@Yi-Long
Competition is great, yeah. I'm hoping that Microsoft does something major like making online multiplayer free on their console. It would be great to see something like that because it would put the pressure on Sony to make online multiplayer free again, rather than keeping it locked behind the PS+ paywall.
Does this only affect modders or also normal users as well? I ask because I was going to buy this game on PC since I think it would run nicer than my PS4 version does, but I saw a lot of complaints form people on forums who said GTA5 ran brilliantly on PC at launch, but recent patches have introduced a lot of performance issues and stuttering that have made the game unplayable for some due to the severe downgrade in framerate after these patches were released.
It's really...
