Agreed. However, it makes more sense to either co-develop for both platforms (which many companies do) or make PS3 lead due to the ease of porting to 360 vs porting 360 to PS3. I honestly don't think there will be any difference in quality though, whichever way they went.
I'm currently playing through Witcher 2 after picking it up for 10 bucks on that Live Summer Sale thing, and I love it! Such an awesome game and I can't wait to see the next-gen version!
Well, people who buy Nintendo consoles do so to primarily play Nintendo games. People bought the Wii for Wii Sports and Mario and such - not to play Call of Duty or Battlefield etc. They have and know their market - having some third party support is more of a bonus than a primary benefit.

He points to the PS1 and PS2, but they were special cases where there was no other console that could rival it in terms of support. Add in the fact that this generation, which is already longer than most other generations, only has one that has sold roughly 100 million units (the Wii), and I just don't find it a likely scenario.

Oh I've seen people complaining about buying 8 360's because they didn't want to wait for MS to ship their box back. If you want to spend 200-400 bucks that you don't have to spend just because you can't bear waiting for a repair, then a red ring isn't your biggest problem in life.
