The real irony is that one of the biggest fanboys on this site (Maria) submitted the article.
Did we just step into a time machine and head back to 2006?
Side note: 2006 was nowhere near as bad as some people claim.
@eggnog93
Agreed. If there's one thing console wars on the internet have taught me, it's how disgusting people can be when they don't have to talk to somebody face-to-face. If the conversations that I've seen on N4G happened in real life, assaults, murders, and suicides would be up 2000%.
I agree. I just mean that before you try to beat your opponent in the big fight, you have to train and get yourself right first :)
I don't think that MS should even worry about preorder numbers. They need to keep doing what they're doing, making announcements that people will like, and the sales will happen. Beating PS4 shouldn't be a priority - maximizing their own sales should be. They're doing a lot better than they were at announcement.
@DirtyPimp
What if the dev was actually talking about the One being more powerful than originally expected? Heads would explode.
F2P is never F2P.
WTF IGN? Wrong video? This is snippets from the E3 demo :(
If I'm reading this correctly, this is all just fancy talk for a unified pool of GDDR5 RAM.
I dunno... It's just that I expect more from a game
directed by the guy who basically designed the PS4.
Say what you will about the conference, but the director gets a 0/10. Seriously - when trailers are playing YOU GO TO DIRECT FEED. We don't need to see the darkened stage every other minute during the moments we are waiting for.
Were any of you watching the same conference as I was? This was easily worse than E3, which only had the no DRM and price bombshells. I honestly was bored and left unexcited. I still want a PS4, but it's not because of anything today.
People who waste their time on this are not gamers - they're insecure jackasses who happen to play video games.
Ughgh. Looks terrible. Certainly not a good showcase for Kinect.
So excited for CD! I can't believe it took this long in the comments for somebody to mention it! I hope it has some Saga RPG elements in it.
@Consoldtobots
Have to disagree. Creative geniuses often have poor to nonexistent business sense (although there are always exceptions). The best model is to let the visionaries bring their dreams to life and the suits to sell those dreams to consumers while keeping profitability at a maximum to fund more future dreams.
@allformats
"But you could buy PS4 and FIFA, and still save money as compared to the Xbox One/FIFA 14 Bundle."
People were buying the One without a free game. This sweetens the deal for them and maybe gets a few people on board who were holding out.
Who cares what relation the price is to the PS4?
I wouldn't mind Vietnam, but as long as whoever develops it has the guts to make it as brutal as it really was.
@DragonKnight
"And assuming that your comment is true, which it isn't, then Sony removed the DRM beforehand so they clearly had the consumer's interests at heart in the end."
Okay.... soooooo..... Microsoft removed it beforehand too, so THEY clearly had the consumer's interests at heart in the end.
Also, if you think that Sony wasn't at least considering DRM on the PS4, you are foolish.
On topic - th...
If Microsoft were smart, and they can be at times, they would pay to make this exclusive permanently. Or buy Respawn. I'm not saying that PS4 buyers shouldn't experience it, but from a business sense, it makes sense.
