The MGS pack was awesome. Hope this is too!
Have we really gotten to the point where we need to argue about what label to give a game? Demo... F2P... Who cares what you call it? You get a character for free. You get full story, training, and online modes for free. You can buy or not buy anything additional as you wish. Why does classifying what it is even matter?
@MizTv
it's 20 bucks for 8 characters (6 at launch, 2 soon after). It's only 40 if you want extra skins and a port of the original arcade game.
Edit: to whatever fanboy/moron disagreed with me, learn to read...

That is gorgeous.

"What's funny is that the Xboners are getting worked up over a third party (timed) exclusive."
No, what's funny is the sheer amount of time and energy that you spend each day attacking and downplaying all things Xbox.
One patch and a class action lawsuit.
Yeah seriously. The article goes off on a diatribe about Microsoft policies and fanboys and then has an "oh yeah, paid multiplayer on PS4" moment at the very end. Totally unbiased journalism at its finest.
Dat PS2 lineup... Still the best ever.
@killcycle
"How can anybody in their right mind even suggest that specs are not important?"
Specs are important, but they're only a means to an end. You could have something 100 times more powerful than a PS4, Xbox One, or ultra high end PC, but without development teams to make the most put of that power and communities who embrace the resultant games, then the importance of specs drops significantly.
At least this generation we won't have to hear about a console's sales being padded by a year lead or hardware failure.
Have you actually played Tekken Revolution? If you're good, you run out of your MP tickets in 5 matches. Then the wait begins for one more. After that, you wait some more. It's cool when you have five saved, but after that, it turns into Candy Crush. I went back to TTT2 quickly.
@Godmars290
You get the game itself with Jago (although it may now be a character of your choice) for free. You can buy new characters a la carte for 5 bucks a pop or get 8 for 20 bucks. Or you can splurge and get extra skins and the original arcade version for 40.
NOBODY forces you to do any of those things. There is nothing for people to "wise" about. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
Also, quit it with the whole Double...
Says he never liked fanboy jargon.
Calls people "xbots".
Sigh.
You have no intention of buying it so why even ask?
Anybody catch the Microsoft showcase that was so bad it was good? I am haunted by Major Nelson's dead eyes and him stabbing a dude in the neck.
That would be a smart business move. When you catch lightning in a bottle, you're foolish if you don't seal the cap.
First DLC that I ever bought was SOCOM 2 maps on the PS2.
I think that Double Helix has finally found their calling.
@TheTwelve
"--- It was supposedly "gameover" for Sony when Microsoft entered. I recall recommendations that people sell Sony stock when Halo 3 came out...
...and now we find ourselves here, today."
Halo 3 came out in September 2007. Sony's market cap was $54 billion in December 2007.
Today, Sony's market cap is $20.43 billion.
Selling Sony stock would have been an extremely good mo...

inFamous: Second Son looks awesome. That's when I'm getting my PS4 - hopefully with a themed bundle.
