@DJMarty
If it's not offensive, find a Japanese person and call them a Jap in public. See if it makes them smile.
You're the kind of person that thinks that white people should be allowed to say the N word just because black people do, right?
@Kayant
I agree with you - he's not a dev. But he does have inside information that we wouldn't normally be privy to. Sure, it has to be filtered and all by his bosses, but we are getting SOME details.
The bottom line is still this - we only know part of each console's power. The part that we know of the PS4 looks to be more powerful. However, that doesn't mean that the One doesn't have it's own tech that could close that gap (probably...

"Today it is generally regarded as an ethnic slur among Japanese minority populations in other countries, although English-speaking countries differ in the degree to which they consider the term offensive. In the United States, Japanese Americans have come to find the term controversial or offensive, even when used as an abbreviation."

Well, GAF is as pro-Sony as N4G, so why wouldn't they be?
Edit:
@Irishguy95
"Developers are NOT the be all end all of software engineering."
Sure, but they have an education background and real world work experience in the field VS a forum of tech aficionados who are currently in groupthink. Everything that anybody from Microsoft says is being called PR by way too many people - it's unfair.
Sony trolling aside...
I like that it's in every box so devs can assume its there and make games accordingly.
That said, I still have R.O.B. The Robot and the Zapper that had a few games each. Universal adoption (at least initially) didn't make a difference. But nowadays, consoles have an OS to use peripherals, so who knows?
A lot of companies do it though in all forms of media.
I agree with you, though - it is silly.
I hope he's trolling. The news we were all waiting for couldn't have been 2 new Vitas and Deep Down.
In other words, show us The Last Damned Guardian.
I'm sure that Microsoft saw the 30 or 40% figure from any one of the millions of posts on various internet forums. If you don't think they read N4G, GAF, B3D, and others, you should.
People from both sides can say whatever they want, but the fact is that we do not know the full story behind either console's hardware.
I can't wait to get my hands on both of them, whether there is disparity of power or not. Each one brings their own things to the table.
@blackbeld
"PS4 is dominating the world! Time to switch side. PS4 FTW.
Eat this ┌П┐(•_•)┌П┐Microsoft."
You're really taking great steps to perpetuate the notion of mature, Sony-only gamers. :/
@UltimateMaster
I disagreed with you because you spelled Mortal Kombat with a "C". Unforgivable for a gamer. :)
@ziggurcat
"PSN technically existed during the PS2 era, which launched in july 2001 in japan (august 2002 in north america). xbox LIVE launched in november 2002."
Wow. Just wow.
Games had online FUNCTIONALITY back on PS2. However, they were self contained in each game and did not transfer to other titles (i.e. universal friends lists, login at a system level etc).
You could definitely play online on PS2, but don'...
If Microsoft wants to be "better" than Steam, they need to allow patches as needed (i.e. don't charge - reviewing is fine, but charging is not good for devs or gamers). Also, the sales need to happen more often and not just on 3+ year old games.
On a good note, there is already a great community on Xbox Live. They need to keep that going and keep making decisions that benefit the community as a whole and keep them on their Xbox instead of turning on another cons...
Preorders, yes. But we have no idea how many of each console will be available for sale at launch.
Somehow, this game has been under the radar recently. I can't wait to get my hands on it!
@WarThunder
"Its looks like a x360 game imo..."
The hell it does.
The dynamic lighting, amount of zombies, draw distance, glass effects, and lack of loading (to only name a few things) are not possible at that fidelity on the 360.
I will concede that the title is misleading though.
@patsrule316
You have read and understood the article, and have posted a correct and intelligible comment. Bubbles to you, sir!
I wish it was. Or at least give us SOMETHING extra. Unless this is to compensate for later launch and lack of features?
I just booked that day off from work :)
@TomShoe
Gears of War is NOT a first person shooter.
