All that an active tech demo will do is make a certain group of people yell that it's staged, fake, or insignificant. They will never acknowledge any benefits and will accentuate any perceived negatives because that is their prerogative.

I wouldn't mind if they ANNOUNCED they were making a Gears game on next gen, but maybe coming 2015 or something. The franchise needs a break and a full development cycle.
I dunno - Gears is more of a smaller team size game. Then again, with Judgment and the lack of DBNO in more game modes, maybe a higher player count would work?
I wouldn't mind Unreal Championship 3 either - the hybrid shooting/melee combat was awesome.
