The only VOCAL people in regards to native resolutions and, quite frankly, minor differences are those who have hated Xbox One since the beginning. Most other people can't tell or don't care. I mean, say what you will about the BF4 comparisons, but were they really that disparate?
Honestly, I play games and don't stop to count pixels, but that's just me. Well, me and normal people who don't give a damn about a silly console war.
Everything they touch is gold. I can't wait to see their next-generation vision come to life, regardless of setting.
@theXtReMe1
So what's your plan then - have EVERY exclusive that Xbox One has go to PS4 as well because of increased sales potential? Would you want your PS4 exclusives to come to Xbox One so that more money could be made? And before you even say "buh-buh-but PS4 is going to outsell Xbox One" - I agree that it will. But if PS4 sells 100 million, then keeping that 2:1 ratio means that Xbox One will sell 66.6 million. That's a huge market, and given your "...
People forgot why we game.
@black0o
Those are facts and are all well and good, but they do not indicate the resolution of the Xbox One version of either game whatsoever. Again, there is no confirmation until there is confirmation.
It's just like when people flew off the handle about Ghosts having dedicated servers only on Xbox One because that was announced first. That didn't end up being the case, did it? People really need to stop drawing conclusions and passing them off as f...
@Muerte2494
Could you please provide links directly from EA and Activision that state Battlefield 4 and COD: Ghosts run at 720p on Xbox One?
Spoiler alert: you can't.
MRMagoo123, you are as blind as your name suggests.
@maijebeast
"You know who is gonna be even more surprised gamers who expect 1080P on the xbox one. See i can make BS statements just like you, although mine is probably closer to the truth with KI running at 720P and Ryse at 900P."
See, the general public cannot tell the difference between something rendered at 1080p and something rendered at 720p that is upscaled to 1080p. Hell, even pixel counters are hard pressed to find discernable differences d...
@shoddy
"Well you can delete old games but I like my collection available all times."
But you can play as you install most (if not all) games on X1 and PS4.
This isn't as big an issue as people make it out to be.
@Enemy
Sooooooo your rumor is better than his? Are we really at the point when we're in a pissing contest over the strength of rumors and conjecture?
Wait for facts, analyze them, then form an opinion. It's a tried and true method that has worked since cognitive thought became a thing.
@dantesparda
"Everybody on this site, knows damn well that if the shoe were on the other foot and this was the PS4 having these issues, the internet would be ablazed with sh*t talking. But since its MS, suddenly it doesnt really matter. And all that matters is that it looks good, or is fun, or that 60 frames! People are so phony its insulting"
Have you actually visited the internet in the past 7-8 months? There is absolutely no shortage of hate on t...
I don't think that Sony fanboys (not fans - there is a difference) overestimate the PS4 as much as they underestimate the Xbox One. I mean, sure, it's a little of both, but those people find much more solace in degrading their "enemy" than enjoying their console of choice. That goes for fanboys of ANYTHING.
In the real world, the PS4 looks fantastic. The Xbox One looks fantastic. Each offer their own take on the next generation and deserve attention. I will ...
Bringing it back to the old days where you turned on a game, pressed a button, and you were in in under 10 seconds. Love it!
Yes... Microsoft spent a billion dollars on first party exclusives for the first year, but they aren't all about "true gamers." This console war has shown the disgusting nature of people from the tops of corporations all the way to the end users, and of course everyone in between on both sides.
Also, anybody who uses the term "true gamer" doesn't understand what a true gamer is.
@GiggMan
"What Killzone is doing for consoles is the definition of Next Gen."
Let's be completely honest: other than improved visuals, what exactly is so next-genny about Killzone that you would say it defines next-gen? Touchpad support? Killzone games are about one thing and one thing only - graphics. To be honest, I want more out of next-gen than just a prettier coat of paint.
Making a 1080p monitor a requirement is foolish on EA's part if this is true. A lot of people have older 1080i or 720p TV's. Hell, they still sell TV's that are 720p or 1080i max. Assuming that everyone has a 1080p TV will lead to angry returns and lower sales.
Edit: nevermind - reread it, and it says that a 1080p monitor is required for 1080p output AKA DUH!!
Good thing nobody cares what it looks like to you.
@The_Infected
"Also CBOAT is right most of the time."
CBOAT said that the PS4 was coming out in October, wouldn't have a multiplayer paywall, and that Microsoft would announce an exclusive Prince of Persia game.
He's not right as much as people give him credit for.
@GameNameFame
"All I am hearing is Xbox fanboys complaining media is overan by PS fanboys. No. Media is just general view and Xbox fanboys just blaming all their problems on media."
So what you're saying is that Xbox fanboys from next generation are the same as PS fanboys from this generation?
See, I disagree. Resolution and graphics aren't the only reasons to buy a console or to determine which is "more for your money". There are exclusives, which are paramount, at least to me. There is the user interface, the online experience, the multimedia options, and a bunch of other things (yes, even Kinect and the Eye).
My problem is the way people are going about this. It isn't enough to be happy with their prospective purchase - they have to belittle t...
