I don't think it is greed so much as it is Kinect costing so damned much. Say what you will about it, but it's not a cheap peripheral.
I don't think that Knack or Killzone would play better or worse at 720p or 4K, 60fps or 30fps. Gameplay is only as good as the game is designed, and smoke and mirrors or downgrades will NEVER change that.
Other sites gave lower reviews than Polygon. Just saying.

Well, to be fair, if Ryse and DR3 get high review scores, there will be no shortage of fanboys crying out against media bias and MS paying off reviewers.

Knack and Killzone both run in 1080p. If anything, their reception shows that resolution and game quality are mutually exclusive.

I hate the term "true gamer", as most people use it inappropriately. You are on the right track, but finances must be considered. I would say that true gamers love games, regardless of platform, and don't disparage titles not on their console of choice. Rather they appreciate each on their own merit.

Agreed. Most of the PR guys are classy in terms of showing respect to the other consoles, minus a few hiccups here and there.
I don't like either, to be honest. But at least with timed exclusive content, everybody eventually gets it as opposed to only one platform.
I love how EA and Activision get flack for their exclusive Call of Duty and Battlefield Xbox One content from certain people, but this is okay.

Precisely. Gaming was ruined by internet forums and head-to-head comparisons. Back in the day, when you wanted to try a console that you didn't have, you went to the store or a friend's house. Now, you listen to chatter on the internet and watch YouTube videos - neither of which provide you with the same experience as actually holding a controller in your hand. My point was that they shouldn't poke fun at Microsoft if their console isn't 100% functional at launch without a patch either.
I don't even have to try.
Better not show them trying to play a DVD or Blu-ray movie without the patch though.
