I couldn't agree with you more. Its the same reason I didn't buy Resistance 2 and Killzone 2. No split screen co-op campaign in either of them. Resistance 2 is the worst offender where the first game had split screen co-op in the campaign and they took it away! Just like you, I don't care if the graphics or frame rate take a hit put it in there. I want to experience the game with a friend when they drop by.
PS2 compatibility becomes less important as time goes on not more important. At this point it wouldn't increase sales by a noticeable amount and would add cost to something Sony is trying to cut costs on. Most people who deemed PS2 compatibility important probably tracked down an older model already. Pointless articles based on nothing. They would be better off saving that money for a price drop.
This game was really meant to be played in co-op. Its a blast with a friend. But yeah as a single player game I'd agree with you. Its pretty average or slightly above average.
I would love a Jeanne D'arc type strategy RPG from Level 5 for the PS3. A new Suikoden or Wild Arms would be much appreciated as well.
I always welcome more tower defense goodness. 3 Player co-op should be interesting.
Trade in values aren't very good, about the same as Gamestop. With all the trouble of having to pack and ship the game ebay would probably be a better place to off load old games.

This is the climate that MS has created in the console industry. Where everything is bought and sold. From timed exclusives to exclusive dlc to exclusive trailers to exclusive game announcements. If you want to blame someone then blame MS. It sounds ridiculous but MS bought a 2 month exclusive in the US for Rockband 2 and a 3 month exclusive for the original Rockband in Europe (Don't live in Europe so correct me if I'm wrong on this one). Probably like $3 or $4 bucks. The dude should of tried it online. I had one repair a couple of weeks ago and they sent me a box. It also had a big crack in the back and they sent me a refurb that was in new condition.
Yeah its about time they stopped whining about it. Seriously, does any other industry cry about their products being sold used? If you want more sales then lower the frickin' price of your games in a timely fashion. It's ridiculous that games like Heavenly Sword, Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank still sell for full price.
Its funny how you guys always act like that money is pure profit. Like they don't have to pay the employees, the rent, payroll tax, a cut to the government. I'm not saying their trade in prices are fair but a lot of you guys act like Gamestop doesn't have any other expenses.

Wow if Sony really plans to go UMDless that is a pretty ballsy move. I wonder how people will react to the first attempt by a company to get rid of physical media altogether and kill the used game market. I suspect that Gamestop will not be a big supporter of the PSP-4000. I love my PSP but I hope this fails badly. I will not relinquish my right to sell my games when I no longer play them without a fight.
Dead Rising came out in August 2k6 and paid exclusives usually last about a year. When Devil May Cry 4 was announced as a multiplat in early 2k7 Capcom also stated that they would be a multiplat publisher from then on. PS3 owners asked the Capcom community manager why there wasn't a Dead Rising coming for the PS3 then? His response was that he couldn't answer that question because he was under a NDA. Obviously the Wii version came long after the exclusivity contract had expired.

No one can give you a confirmed list because MS makes the 3rd parties sign NDA's to get the cash. Remember the $50 mill for the GTA DLC was only found in a Take-Two financial statement. It was never officially released to the press. But it has been inferred that Dead Rising and Bioshock were paid for by people within the companies. I can also refer you to the E3 2k7 interview Kotaku had with Peter Moore (when he was still with MS). Kotaku asked Moore straight up if MS pays for exclusives...
Yep I think EA is doing the exact same thing with Mass Effect 2 that Capcom is doing with Lost Planet 2.
Yep with each PS3 sold it becomes more expensive for MS to buy a timed exclusive. They already had to let Dead Rising 2 and Bioshock 2 go. Things are still up in the air for Mass Efect 2. Which is why you are seeing them buy exclusives on DLC instead of full games. I guess we'll see if it is enough.
I'd have to agree with them this time. This is lame. Who cares if one store sells out. How is that an investigation? Maybe if the person bothered to visit 10 stores. But going into a best buy to buy a cable and seeing no Killzone copies is not an "investigation".
I agree I honestly couldn't tell the difference if I played them back to back. I'm too busy... you know actually playing the game.
