The point being all those systems are 10 years or older. It is pretty sad when a comp can emulate a "current gen" system better then the original.
It broke the record for revenue of dlc on xbl. Which means it outsold horse armor and other added content like the Fall Out 3 and Fable 2 stuff. At $20 a pop it costs at least twice as much as that other stuff. Not that big a deal in my book. As for sales, Metal Gear Solid 4 didn't even sell a million in its first month including PS3 bundles and it went on to sell 4 million plus worldwide in 8 months so really who gives a crap.
Blame Nintendo for completely gimping the Wii, not Capcom. Its just business. Capcom can either develop for the PS3, 360 and PC in one development cycle or they can develop for the PS2 and Wii (or just wii) in the same cycle. If the Wii had enough juice to stay in the same pack as the other two systems you can bet your ass Capcom would have released RE5 on all three. Would RE 5 have shipped 4 million copies in the first week on Wii alone? Highly unlikely.
I have no idea how you got co-op from that trailer, though I do hope they put co-op in it.
Funny I was just thinking about something similar when I saw this article. The NXE is a rip off of the xmb. Just with a horizontal bias instead of a vertical one and bigger icons so they could add descriptions.

Hardly anything announced at E3 comes out the same year. So unless MS changes that tradition it looks pretty barren from the exclusives side of things for the 360 this year.

1. This offer seems to be open to any independent devs. Who are actually the ones that need the most help. They just aren't targeting titles that they think will hurt the competitor's brand.
2. Sony is open and honest about it. They come out and tell it like it is. Unlike MS that pays a publisher off then makes them sign a NDA so the 3rd party can't say why the title is exclusive. Then MS comes out and says that the game is exclu...
Pretty amazing sales for a game that last 3 hours. Its an ok game but I guess I just don't get it. I don't really see anything special about this game. Yeah, it has co-op but so do plenty of other games. And just about any game is more fun in co-op. Otherwise, it has average graphics, only like 4 or 5 enemy types(that I can remember), no story to speak of and the runtime of a Lord Of the Rings movie.
It really does seem like the media and gamers just give a pass to anything ...

Yep this reminds me of the launch of the iphone game store. How many "will iphone kill ds/psp?" articles did we get? I'm cool though. Have no interest in this thing. I don't think my roommates would appreciate me sucking up bandwidth for offline/single player games (which is 90% of my gaming time).

Most people shop at Amazon so they don't have to pay sales tax. Opening up locations in a bunch of states would force them to charge sales tax in every state with a store even on their website. A very very bad idea as it is Amazon's biggest advantage. I know the only reason I shop there is to save on tax. BTW I tried their trade-in service. It is ok but it takes about 2 weeks for them to credit your account with the gift cert. EB is still the place to go if you want to do a quick trade ...
I wouldn't call outselling the Wii by 4k units domination. But its nice that the PS3 seems to be at least level with the Wii now.
Yeah, that is a truly a shame how badly it sold. It was a high quality title. My favorite Level 5 game by far. I'd say even deeper and more balance then Valkyria Chronicles and it was a handheld game. But I guess we may never see a sequel to either game though...
