you can trade in a just released game to amazon for $22-$25 or sell it on ebay for $40-45. You still have to pack both and ship both and instant gratification? I've tried trading in games twice to Amazon both times it took exactly 2 weeks from the day I dropped it off in the mail box to the time I got the gift cert credit. Hardly instant gratification.

There are 15 available grades. F- to A+. 10 divided by 15 then multiplied by 13 (which is what an A- would be 13 out of 15) will get you 8.67. Unless you kids want to use the F- = 50% as the baseline which means no game gets under a 5 from 1up. BTW this is the same method metacritic uses to convert alphabetical scores to a numerical score. 1up gave Resistance 2 a B+ which is posted on Metacritic as a 83.

Technically it would be a 8.67. 10 / 15 x 13 =8.67.

You can just transfer your save games to a thumb drive. Or if you have a portable harddrive formatted in FAT you can back up EVERYTHING on your ps3. This guy is complaining because he didn't have the forethought or was too lazy to back up anything and now blames Sony.

@3.1 Personally I've never had a system break down, Sony or otherwise in my 20 years of gaming besides the 360(twice). This spans about 20+ years of gaming and 20+ different systems. From the Atari 2600 to all t...

Enough with the crying about the evils of used games. Does anyone shed a tear for Ford, Honda or GM when their used cars are sold? Do they get a penny of the resale? No, they were paid when the car was originally purchased. Does Dell or HP cry about used computer sales? No, because that's how business works. The only entity on the planet that gets to double dip on sales is the government with their taxes. The idea that developers should get a cut of used game sales or that we should fe...

Yes Rock Band in Europe and Rock band 2 in the US were both announced. Then a couple of months before release MS wrote a check to EA to delay both titles a couple of months later for other platforms. I certainly didn't see any "MS gives Rock Band fans the finger" articles when it happened either. It was business as usual. It seems turn around is fair play unless it has to do with gaming.

The only time I used a car in Crackdown was at the beginning of the game before I got my leaping skills up. After that it was like why bother? Just leap from place to place like the Hulk. I know your just trolling but I am a big Crackdown fan. However, Crackdown's biggest downfall was mission variety. I believe every single mission was hunt this guy down and kill him. From what I've read of the Infamous demo it already has more mission variety in the demo then Crackdown did in the whole...

Well this is slightly shorter notice. But not by much. Some of the dlc and the rockband garbage was announced 2 or 3 months before release.

Where was the outrage when MS snapped up the dlc for GTA4, Fallout 3 and Tomb Raider UW? Or when they made PS3 owners wait a couple of months for Rockband in Europe and Rockband 2 in the US? I agree it sucks for gamers but MS started and sent the industry down this ridiculous path. If you wanna blame a company blame the one that started this BS.

Its amazing how demented fanboys can turn anything about games and relate it to console wars. This was an article from cnbc, a finance channel and website. You really think they give a crap about fanboys? Did you even read the article?

Cross Edge will also be out the same day as infamous (at least in the US) for those looking for a jrpg.

You are really stretching it when you say its part 3rd person shooter. I mean you aim a reticule and that's it. You can take 5 hours to line up one shot and it wouldn't matter. Its a strategy rpg with a great grpahical presentation and a behind the shoulder view instead of an overhead view.

I agree these smaller jrpg houses really need to invest in HD spirits. Putting HD portraits over reclycled low res spirits really isn't going to fly any more. If it was a first gen ps3 game I might overlook it. But over 2 years into the ps3 life cycle this is crap. I'm not going to spend $50 on a PS2 game with HD portraits. If they really can't afford it put it on PSN as a cheap downloadable title like Konami is doing with Vandal Hearts.

Amazon Prime for the win. Sure it costs $80 a year but on Infamous alone I would save about $11 ($6 off retail price. Plus $5 savings on tax). I make at least 25 orders a year from Amazon so that's like $3 extra an order for two day air(sometimes it comes next day when shipped from one of their west coast warehouses).

Amazon puts sales on the preorder of games all the time. This probably has nothing to do with Sony. There were also preorder sales on Killzone 2, Halo Wars, Madworld, GTA Chinatown Wars, RE 5 just about any "big" game that has been released this year Amazon has had a sale on it prior to it coming out.

You guys do have to remember that this is a remake of the old PS2 game not Monster Hunter 3. Although I do hope Monster Hunter 3 bombs, considering how Capcom shafted PS3 owners.

Do you have a link? All I see on ebay is $35 + $20 shipping.

I got to best buy 2 minutes after it opened and it was flooded with nerds that had already picked the place clean. Did get Singstar vol. 2 and Folklore for $10 though.

I dont think Dell is charging for shipping but they do charge sales tax.
