I thought that MGS2 on PC was pretty sweet. It ran fine for me, but it was one of the first PC games on PC requiring a control pad.

Does the Special Edition only allow you "access" to the soundtrack via vidzone, because that kind of sucks. Though there is an option to download the songs your listening to anyway, so maybe they're just doing it for convenience.

I'm sure any Rockstead game will be pretty cool. I just loved Batman: AA, so much it's was my secret GOTY last year... My official GOTY was Uncharted 2, because of all the effort that went into it and it's a fantastic spectacle... but Batman is Batman. And a good Batman game can trump any other game.
When it comes to choosing between Psi-Ops 2 or Arkham Asylum 2, I'd have to go with Batman.
But even Psi-Ops is a better idea that what some business decision will, I'm sure pull out of their rear end.
After Arkham Asylum, Rocksteady should be locked into as many Batman games as possible, not thrown off their game because of some knee-jerk "holly crap, we have a good developer, let's get them on a Superman game at once!" reaction by executives.
I know Rocksteady could make other games, but it's like they were born to make Batman awesome again!

They already have. EyePet, Eye of Judgement both use the EyeToy.
It's the same principle for natal, only it has two cameras (for depth perception). It depends how you want to do it. EyeToy and Arc are kind of a mix of Wiimote and Natal. Though you forget the Japanese version is also on BluRay, I do think SEGA will probably still just make it extra DLC for the west.
Agreed - the fact SEGA insist on treating this series as the ginger stepchild has pushed this to a bargain-bin buy, at most.

Also the game features Karaoke and other activities with hostesses (the demo lets you sing a couple of songs with one). How are you meant to hook up with these girls for the activities included if you can't even get to the club to meet with them?!

Possibly, but the PS2 had, and the PS3 still has the Eye, which does the same sort of stuff natal does.

Video games have sadly not evolved that much to where a girl in a game can be ugly.
You can't have a strong independent woman in a video game unless she's pretty. I don't think the size of the patch is the problem (often they're equal to the 360 patch).
The problem is that unlike downloading from the store, you can't download patches in the background. Regardless of how large it is, it's a pain in the ass to wait for it.
The funny thing is that you can continue playing without the patch, so there's no real reason the patch couldn't be downloaded in the background, and then installed when you exit the game or next restart the s...
The odd thing about the US/UK release is that SEGA let you spend time with the hostess' (even in the demo you get to go sing kareoke with one). But you're not allowed to meet them in the first place at their bar?
