Games like Ratchet and Clank have proven you can have near Pixar quality imagery in real time, I wonder if we'll get a decent movie tie-in...

Oh who am I kidding, of course we bloody won't.

Sorry Halo and Gears Bros...

From the PSOne selection, I wish they'd kept it that way!

Usually there's a good selection, but we have been spoilt over the last few weeks. And the Special Offers are quite good :)

Funny how they call everything not from this gen 8-bit, despite being unable to count.

I imagine it would.

Since the adverts already show EyePet working with Move. I'm not sure how it will work though - the Magic Card is has a shape on it pointing top the top left, this is how EyePet knows at which angle you're holding it.

I suppose with the gyroscope, the Move could tell the game what it's angle is though, it just requires a bypass of the "card recognition" code, which is a shame because that's what they've based the entire game around.

Just mediocrity. Rubbish games are worth playing to see how bad they are (in a so bad it's good way), but the stuff Activision usually churns out is just pedestrian.

Play it for an hour, Meh, Play something better. That's the activision way!

Welcome back to last year!

I have no idea why SCEA decided to delay this game. It's been patched once to make the gestures less annoying, and has a ton of wardrobe dlc (most of it free).

There are some things you just don't ask a lady... or a psychotic ancient greek, for that matter. Although it may not be an uncommon question for an ancient greek.

My bad,

I won't support a crippled year old game, when even the publisher can't really be bothered.

Because lets be honest, a year old is still pretty ancient by gaming standards. Especially in a niche title.

True, but most 3D games already have in place mechanisms to trick the eye into thinking it's 3D (motion blur, forced depth perspective blur, etc.). It's only a matter of disabling them, but I still think a lot of games would include it as a gimmick.

The same way all games already used a controller, so in theory adding waggle should be easy, and not gimmicky. But as we've seen over the last 2-3 years, the wii is infested with cheap waggle shovel ware, or great games that didn't ne...

Unfortunately by supporting a cut game, SEGA will assume you're happy with the cuts.

I hope I'm wrong, but SEGA could have negated the entire issue by adding English subtitles to the game's Asian release (Hong Kong still requires English subs).

They chose not to, for one reason or another. But I'm going with "because they're ass holes, and this is one of the few series that's worth doing right"

Cheers, I figured it would require a step down from 1080p, which isn't a big deal when it comes to games, since they mostly run at 720p anyway.

I'm on the fence about it, 3D films can look amazing, but as we saw with the Wiimote, some devs will try an shoehorn it in just so they can say they support it. Not sure I'm ready for a whole new wave of gimmick games.

I remember the days when game stores were halved - one half (if not more) was PC games, the other was ALL of console games. Nowadays you'd be pressed the find a store that has more than one wall dedicated to PC games.

It's a shame. I loved browsing all those large boxes, it just seemed magical compared to the uniform SNES, Mega Drive boxes. It was like browsing in a book store - you're eyes being caught by a peculiar box.

Now they all look alike, and in many ways, wi...

Valve will do well regardless, but other studios (without their own digital distribution software) haven't fared so well.

I suppose, but the PS3 will be compatible, and has only a HDMI 1.3 spec port... unless the HDMI ports are future compatible, and require only a software update to use more of the functionality?

No skin off my nose, I already have a HDTV and I'm not buying another one until they start shipping them with the 3D film on the screen (as demonstrated in an other article today), negating the need for glasses all together.

Plus a couple of other mini-games (mahjong being one).

On top of that, without the Hostess bar, I really wonder how you're meant to meet the girls that accompany you to some of the excursions (like Karaoke in the demo).

You can mock, but I won't support a crippled 2 and half year old game, when even the publisher can't really be bothered.

"but I would encourage all fans of the series to show their support for Yakuza by picking up a copy [of Yakuza 3]."

Yeah, I'll show my full support of the game, when you do the same by re-adding the cut content. Until then, since the Regular Ed in the UK is the Premium Version with all of the DLC for free, I have no incentive to buy it until it's cheap.

Good luck with that, SEGA.

At least that's what we were told months ago... but then since the HD READY logo is getting old, I suppose they'll just sell the same TVs with a 3D Ready logo, and whack up the price.

5935d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

First: Buy HDTV! It's awesome!
Then: Buy 3DTV! It's 3D (with Specs)
Finally: Buy Actual 3D TV - now Without needing the specs :D

The problem with new technology is that most technology companies are still trying to make a profit on the last big thing. I doubt we'll see this overlay any time soon, and certainly not without a hefty price tag.

Despite the fact it's inferior on 360, there will be more kneejerk "OMGS FF ON 360!".

If anybody thinks review scores are accurate and not at all subjective are kidding themselves.

I'm just sad that whilst the industry is quick to point out inferior PS3 ports (Ghostbusters, Beyonetta), it takes a "oh well it's still pretty good!" attitude for 360 ports.
