Of course they do.
Banning Video games is what people do when they don't want or know how to fix cultural and social problems of their youth.
I seem to recall Norway having one of the lowest murder rates, even including this latest tragedy. So why would banning games prevent a nut case like this from repeating the massacre?
I was playing Elite II up until a few years ago, the graphics are obviously dated, but for sheer openness and depth of gameplay, it can't be beaten.
Hardware was another good space trader, though set on the planet mars.
And Terminus is a fantastic plot driven one, came out years before Freelancer, but reminded me so much of it.
EARLY?!!?!?
I've been waiting for another Elite since the 3rd one. We're ion dire need of a deep, open space sim!
It's not Gears of Wars sales.
It's sad that a game's considered a failure if it doesn't get 9/10 scores or sells more than 2 million.
Yes. The last time they did this, we got Kinect.
Microsoft has never been the company to innovate games.
If Strategy games are not contemporary, then why bother making a game from a franchise with strategy at it's heart?
Apart form trying to:
a) Make money off people who played the originals
b) Dissuade those who didn't play the originals from doing so, enriching their experience ("Yeah I played XCom too, it was a shooter right?"), and thereby making more money off a new game than heavily discounted older games.
Kind of how they...
No, you can play the latest version in the browser.
Its the same thing. Go try it.
I don't understand. The website clearly states:
Play Minecraft Beta:
In browser | Download
How can you guys not know you can play it in a browser, unless you got it in a zip file elsewhere?
Now why would a game that can be played in your browser possibly have more traffic than a game that is played outside of the browser?
I wonder.
Thief: DS was a fantastic game.
It just wasn't a fantastic Thief game. The level people bang on about the most was the Cradle, but horror outside the tension of being caught, should be no where near a Thief game.
Just hoping we get a closer experience to Thief DP, and Thief MA. But I know sales drive development, so I don't have a lot of hope.
Where "scripted sequences with altered controls" read: "Quick Time Events".
Why can't they let the pasty be the past. It had too fantastic games before messing it up int the third. And since the Third also sold the most, my money's on the 4th being a lot more like it than the better games of 1 and 2.
Unfortunately it wasn't the first to do shadows, Severance came out a couple of years before.
MegaTexturing was the big thing with the Doom3 Engine, unfortunately we never saw much of any textures, outside the cone of a flashlight.
And might I remind you of an older game that green space marines, pink demons? Doom? And about about Ultima Online for a cartoonist fantasy MMO... it was the original MMORPG after all?
It is in the software world, where light does not exist outside of the RGBA spectrum.
Says the man who gave us Doom 3, which had 90% of the screen in one colour (black), and the rest of it chugging FPS even on fairly respectable computers.
But it was a pretty 10% of visibility I guess.
It takes a lot to disappoint Burnout fans, especially after Paradise was released when it was only half finished.
After the fans showed infinite patience waiting for fairly standards racing features like Day/Night cycles, Bikes, Weather, I would have thought they'd go all out for the bigger, better game.
Guess not.
It took a better part of a week to send everybody an Email.
I think it might take some time to update all 70million accounts back to their original status.
Not really, looks exactly the same as Direct X 10, but with some optimized shaders.
It worked pretty well in Fallout 3, sow e can only hope it's closer to that than Oblivion.
I stopped buying horses since I would lose every single one to a wild cougar attack.
Unique Interface?
Funny, the PC version used to have the "Original Interface". Guess Consoles come first now. Not a bad idea, since if they can optimize for the console versions, the PCs will see the benefit as well as the higher res textures and what not.
Nobody wanted Yoda even when he came with Soul Calibur on the 360!
Lucas should never have shown that midget fighting.
