Which companies would that be?

Insomniac, Naughty Dog, Guerilla Games, Sucker Punch all seem to be happy making millions with SONY,

Bungie, Rare, Epic Games, Bioware all seem to be happy making missions with Microsoft.

The common factor? They make good games, not just 1 good game that lasts 5 hours. And they certainly didn't blow the entire budget of their first game hiring professional actors to both voice and mo-cap their respective roles.

I don't know... Selling over 1 million used to be the mile stone at which every developer could say "We've made it".

Either something is very wrong with their accountants, or the publisher (SCEE) really didn't like them as a developer. It was a competent enough game, but IMO they wasted a ton of cash on the mo-cap facial animations, when they should really have tightened up the gameplay! I'm not sure where they went wrong. They even had a massive leg up from SONY to mak...

UE3 has held up well over the years, and in the right hands manages to hide it's many problems (texture pop, loading screens).

Still a couple of £ more than you could get them on DVD?

C'mon SONY, £5.99 should be a standard price if you want to compete with the shops.

I'm not sure they're availiable as a double pack in the UK, but I'll keep my eyes open.

Uhhh... DLC on PC was quite rare outside Expansions, and these were almost never free. If anything was offered for free, it was usually part of a patch.

Also, the DLC for Burnout Paradise was free because they were finishing an incomplete game. The DLC added Day/Night, Weather, Bikes, Custom Soundtrack for PS3... stuff most other racers came with.

As soon as they had "finished" the game, they switched to a paid-for model. Not that there's anything wrong wi...

Because I don't mind being "rewarded" for buying a game New, but to have to pay for something I've already bought (yeah, I know technically it's Licensed and I don't own any of it), is just flipping me the bird for being a loyal customer.

Oh well, I'll wait for the inevitable, incomplete "Double Pack".

Millions of Japanese don't mind going outside *gasp!* and meeting up with fellow players, playing in public using the ad-hoc multiplayer.

Don't forget Good, Gabe.

HL2 was ok... but the (long, delayed) wait for it after HL1 just wasn't really worth it.

Most Male gamers aren't as technically capable as they'd like to think. Or does "setting up a console/PC" count as technically capable these days?

I Can't wait for the 360 crowd to justify QTEs, after all the crap they threw at Heavy Rain.

A UK TV show featuring three sassy/sexy girls who actually looked like they knew what they were talking about?

Role Model Gaming Girlfriends from then on out...

That show is missed ;_;

Was all the perfect scores the game got. For what? Virtual Tour of Jerusalem, with exciting activities like "Sitting on a Bench", and "Following some dude".

It's like the created the game world, and forgot to include a game :|

I would prefer no sequel at all if Ubi decide to half ass it like they do with all games.

Please do this game justice Ubi... Nobody wants an empty game like Assassin's Creed, or Prince of Persia.

But you've yet to define yourself in the current generation, let alone piggy backing on Natal to get your game together.

And bad for business.

Allowing cheaper HDDs mean people are more likely to use the space - means more money for downloads via Live, and even buying more games because you could install them to the HDD.

A proprietary HDD has cost MS money, when they could have just charged a license for "360 certified" HDD manufacturers. Easy money.

I paid £60 for a 500gb 2.5" drive for my PS3 2 years ago!

Jesus MS, only the connection is proprietary... I'm amazed nobody's marketed a case that could fit the 360, but house any PATA/SATA HDD.
