Sorry, you can want it all you want, Vista will never be a good OS, and 7 is marginally better. If you used it for more than World of Warcraft, you might realise that.
I admit I use neither, but I have to develop for both.
Windows 7: A success because Microsoft sabotaged their own Vista... forcing new buyers into a crappy OS, and annoying those who had stuck with XP for so long.
If the top reason you use Windows 7 is "it's better than Vista", congratulations, you're a tool.
Find something else to worry about, "journalist".
Why not find out if the Pope does indeed poop in the woods.
Trite, incorrect, and calling the kettle black in many places.
I'm sure many before me have already pointed out the flaws in this idiot's argument, so I won't.
He may just be a little worried that after 3 years of the limelight, the 360 isn't as popular as it once was, what will all these journalists do then? Probably find something else to be bitter about.
God! What is wrong with me?!
It's odd how everybody sites The Cradle as a reason to love Thief 3... Sure it was a great level, but scary.
Scary levels have no place in a Thief game! It's about the suspense of being caught.
Sadly, since 3 sold the most copies, I'm sure Thief 4 will be following it's design, rather than the better designs of 1 and 2 :(
It's commendable you bought it, but Digital Distribution won't replace physical distribution unless it becomes easier to buy and download, than just to pirate.
Hell - I'm waiting for somebody to set up a legal Torrent site where you buy and then just torrent form other members who have also bought. Why can't it be that simple?
I'm not saying it doesn't deserve it, but there hasn't exactly been a flood of other Bond games as awesome.
Personally I think James Bond: The Duel on Mega drive beats almost all the game son this list... And to this day I still don't know why it has an stage that looks to be set on Endor. It was a great time for game creativity, I guess ;)
Forgetting that Thief 2 is important to the story, Thief 3 was just terrible by comparrison to the games before it.
Play Thief 1
Play Thief 2
Ignore Deadly Shadows
Play Thief 2X (Full length fan made campaign)
Following this plan will result in 100% less disappointment.
She's more cute than sexy I guess, but still.
We don't want her career ruined!
In fact, the more excited those tools are about anything, the more you should stay away!
I wonder...
Shame, most Activision Marvel games are mediocre at best, so it would be nice for another publisher/developer to have a go.
Lego Batman is the only one that kept my attention, so a Lego Marvel would have been great.
So nearly 1/8th of the game??
But probably listening too much to the more vocal retarded 12 year olds that can't gauge a game more finely than GOTY or Worst Game Ever!
Sadly, it's this demographic publishers usually listen to (often because it's what their own 12 year old told them before leaving for work - I sh!t you not! It's happened before).
Can't wait to enjoy the massive differences the extra 2 feet of LOD and Mipmap distance will provide, or perhaps all the extra rounds I can fire in those extra 3-5FPS, or maybe the extra buildings and trees they'll be able to fit into the higher resolution!
Why not something a little more creative?
A Band of Brothers/Saving Ryan set in the Command & Conquer universe?
Shadow of the Colossus would be more suited to a series, but it would be epic.
Alone in the Dark - they made it similar to a film anyway, and I know there's already a film based on it... but I'd like a good one.
Some things cheaper on PS3, others on 360 - Companies offsetting the cost of one to pay for the other?
Since up until now, it made sense for MS to make certain things cheaper, because you had to buy a bunch of points you'd never totally use. So for a higher initial investment, you can get more for your money.
But since they're switching to smaller denomination of points, I doubt the prices will stay that low for long.
Yeah I don't know how I made the connection between the imaginary and religion.
But I'm sorry for the spelling, it's my fault, and I'll go fall on my sword ;)
How many multi-platform games must we put up with that contain compressed fmvs?
If developers wanted to use the PS3 the first thing they should do is keep their expensive, time consuming renders at the original resolution for PS3 (and probably PC), and compress them for the 360's DVDs.
