Strange why Microsoft haven't gone a similar direction, instead of demanding 2GB of space on each disk for a worthless copy-protection.
Another case of idiots who shout the loudest get the attention.
I love how the article is all over the place: a "Storm" of complaints, but only "some" users have problems, and "plenty" can update fine but have connection issues.
Also "Many users who have elected not to install the obviously broken update are complaining that they cannot connect to the Playstation Network or play online games" - What's this? SONY wants to make s...
Wow... 4 disagrees on an open question.
Thanks for not bothering to tell me an opinion that was probably given to you anyway.
Sometimes it's awesome being awesome at what you do, and not try and be something else.
You're not wrong...
Unfortunately we live in a world that caters to the minority because of:
a) Litigation (we can't have the small amount of stupid people to put their hands in blenders now, can we?), or
b) Narrow Minded Business Models (We can't force stupid executives to think of new solutions in a new digital world, can we?)
File size is a big deterrent against Piracy, however most games being Multi-platform, they're often no larger than a little over 6GB - the most allowed by 360 DVDs which have 2GB of useless copy-protection data per disk.
It's strange how the PS3 has been "hacker proof" for as long as it has.
Is it truly hacker proof, or were hackers content with the easier to exploit Wii, 360 and PSP?
It's a camera, it detects changes from frame to frame, not matter how slight.
The PS2's Eye managed to track finger movement, and PS3's Eyepet made use of small movements to stroke the animal, or tap the ground.
I'm sure Natal will be great, but let's not be so easily impressed with last gen technology - let's wait for it's implementation first!
Oooooh... and a QTE of House trying to sexually harass Cuddy, without getting arrested!
Genius!
A disagree?
Some folk need to grow a bloody funny-bone. You're in the wrong place if you think the Internet is a serious place!
I hope they're telling the truth, after abandoning a big game like Bayonetta, any company would say the same!
Can't wait :D
I know they fobbed off Bayonetta onto SEGA's internal development.
So if that's par for the course, they can bloody well stick to architecture they can understand!
The guy had more games than Mario for the time.
Just because nobody doesn't want another Alex Kidd game, doesn't mean he failed. He did exactly what was needed for the Megadrive/Master System and that was to steal people from Nintendo's Mario Bros... Which he did - I don't know a single person that didn't play Alex Kidd!
It looked just as impressive then, I might add.
Or was it because 3d Realms (producer) paid them enough to keep interested?
Well I never!
PS3 works pretty funky for streaming vid sites (youtube and stuff), and is great to check something quick if you don't want to turn on your laptop/pc... though it does need work.
EA and Bioware have stated they don't have exclusivity deals with Microsoft, they just chose not to put ME on PS3.
I think the ME series will make the jump to PS3, but not until after ME3 is released.
I can wait, if the games are as good as they say they are. And if it doesn't happen, I'll get a very cheap (by then) 360.
I wish there were more T&A games on PS3 :\
I admit - I would perve a little if it every got ported from 360 and PC :)
