I agree, GTAIV was the first game I started taking ROckstar seriously, because they took themselves seriously.
I'd love a completely mature, adult game with no funny adverts or billboards, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.
Nah, GTAIV is a landmark game. And I still play it with my drinking buddy - seeing who can get the most stars etc...
It always surprises me, that after 70+ hours in story mode, and god knows how many hours hot-seating, we will always find ourselves in a p[art of the city I've never seen before, or see an NPC do something we just didn't know they could do.
I know it's mainly for the release of the DLC, but it's damned nice of them to fix some bugs whilst their at it. They even added Trophies when there was no inclination, other than just being nice.
Unlike Volition, their GTA alternative Saints Row II still has no trophies, but plenty of paid-for DLC they'd love that you buy.
I don't know... I'd rather stupid people shut up.
That way, like you say, when we don't know who they are, we can't exterminate them ;)
Oh Gods... It's the Mass Effect Sex Box incident all over again!
You know what? No, they aren't. Not if the opinion...
a) was given to them by somebody they trust,
b) is backed by no evidence, even anecdotal,
c) was made up on the spot not 5 minutes before.
There are far too many people these days, who think we want to hear what they have to say, modern journalism and things like social computing (facebook, myspace, twitter, oh god twitter!) only magnify their own narcissism and ego.
Just because we can give a vo...
Get one expert with an opinion, and put him in a debate with somebody who hasn't got a clue, but feels strongly about it nonetheless.
People wonder why I don't watch TV.
Hopefully it'll make the puddle jump.
Without my Monster Hunter Fix, I don't know what I'd do :|
But where would the beer go?
WHERE WOULD MY PRECIOUS BEER GO ;_;
Sorry... I get worked up when something happens to my medicine :|
Calm down!
I didn't mean it in a bad way - it's called sarcasm. I'm very much looking froward to DCU :)
The first one ended abruptly too. "Leave them hanging" is practically Monolith's mission statement.
It does depend how long the MMO is around for - Eve being one that had a massive graphical upgrade, years after release.
The more MMORPGs on console the better - it's a perfect platform because everybody has the same set-up, instead of upping the graphics each update, they can concentrate on new content :)
I'm glad the PS3 is lead platform, because others who've said this (Terminal Reality, I'm looking at you!) have basically meant "This is all we can get the bloody console to do, therefore we did sorta push it".
But I'd like to hear Edge's opinion.
They've given loads of PS3 games full marks (7 out of 7), so I think they're a bit biased against Microsoft and Nintendo!
Seriously though... if anything, it just demonstrates how Famitsu are more likely to give a good mark with each successive generation.
True... But a lot less than Extended Warranties.
Really? No way!
I thought it was like swine flu!
Glad somebody figured it out in the end.... 4 years later.
I seem to recall having a 10 year old GFX card for my PC that had a bloody fan on it. Did MS think the 360 would just be too loud with one more fan?
This can't be good...
All will be forgiven if you just start working on No On Lives Forever 3... please? Let's go back to the days when you had some imagination, Monolith!
Yan Kut-Ku (Monster Hunter Series), if ever there was a AI Troll, this is it. Fast, Spits fire, Fliest, pecks, charges... and on to of all that, the disrespectful bugger looks like a chicken!
Feral Ghoul Reaver (Fallout 3), or whichever throws globs of radioactive waste at you. They are so much tougher than any other Ghoul (even the ones that glow FFS!), they're fast, and strip about a 1/4 of your health with each hit. At lower levels they're impossible, but even at level 25 they...
