Hah, yeah Ok. If that stuff matters to you, you should really be playing them on PC, no?

I'm happy with all the multi-plats I have, but still wouldn't buy a 360 just because they might be slightly better on there.

I know it's not your fault the 360 has only a handful of exclusives actually worth owning, but try not to be such a remorseful peon about it.

Also I have to laugh at the morons disagreeing with my own personal feelings. I wasn't expressing an o...

But I'm not buying a 360 for just 5 games :|

Contrast that with the 50 or so I have on PS3.

If only because the porn industry is sinking, whilst games are on the rise.

The solution? "If those horny nerds are prepared to subscribe to WoW month in, month out, maybe they'll subscribe to my site if I go about how much I love the game?"

Just a precaution, guys.

Any Spiderman game is welcome, but the only thing wrong with the open-world games was the lack of variety and god-awful camera work.

I can't help but think changing the formula this much means introducing a host of other problems.

I'm hopeful though.

Emotional Gaming Experience of the year.

Even when you know who the killer is, it's fun to try and behave different the second time through.

No offence taken :)

He is being vague, and even admits to never playing it.

If you haven't played Heavy Rain, all your actions are done through prompts (QTEs). The reason some look uneven is because the action is done in time with the user.

So if you wanted to make Shelby open a car door slowly you could, or quickly, or half way then stop and half way again. The MO-Cap was only done at one speed, meaning the same action done slowly might look unnatural done quickly (a kind of speed up effect).

The kind of Mo-Cap they're doing for Alan Wake i...

It's not a sandbox though... Garry's Mod is a Sandbox, Little Big Planet is a Sandbox.

Prototype was an open world game with no pacing. Sure you started the game as a God, but you never got any better either. You would spend half the game earning yet another meaningless upgrade that let you fly-kick 10 meters more, wow!

I'm sorry, there's only so much fun I can have disembowelling the 100th victim in 2 or 3 different ways - I need a bit more from my games.

In Heavy Rain most of it is outside of a normal QTE, so the speed and execution is up to you. If you make it look uneven, it will be.

I doubt Alan Wake will have similar in-depth QTE, sticking to the traditional "Press X to not die", rather than Heavy Rain's "Press X to maybe not die, maybe live, sometimes get lucky".

In the same boat here.

In never really used Linux on it, just played around. I don't think it's a shame they're removing it, it's a shame they never really supported it in the first place.

Some devs do reward platinum holders.

It's not difficult to code it into a sequel: Uncharted 2 game you a lump sum of in-game cash if it found an Uncharted save, and even more if it fount a Platinum for the game.

But Naughty Dog is the kind of developer who added trophies a year after a games release, most companies don't even pay us that courtesy.

Why do we like Achievements/Trophies? They're the modern day High Score. Done correctly they can even enhance a game, and some have even complimented the game in such a way, I'll end up replaying the game several times over - something I would never have done before.

Well the better alternative at the time wasn't availiable on the 360.

Could anybody else play this game for longer than an hour without getting bored?

I think the bigger problem with Haze is that Ubisoft produced it.

They wanted a game that was better than Halo. And they got it, but Halo was 6 years old by then and had 2 incrementally better sequels.

Ubi are known for their half-assed attempts: The first Assasin's Creed was empty sold of the promise of a BJ from Jade, Far Cry 2 was an unfinished mess.

Ah, there's the problem. Because they have to keep those shelves and warehouses for the people who still don't use the online services (about 99% of people).

Digital Distribution won't be cheaper until it's the only way to obtain anything... and even then, unless there are many distributors (as there are many high-street stores), there won't be any competition, and the prices will remain artificially high.

"We are keeping what we love about stealth games, but increased the pace and the number of innovative features."

Sounds like it...

Ubi's at it again.

If you played the title you know it would be an expensive development, even by today's standard.

They did go all out, even for a launch title on a new platform.

Those are ridiculous prices.. I remember an old VHS Rental place charged £3 a night for videos.

What's wrong with just £0.99 rentals? I wouldn't mind renting a movie for that a night. It's practically cheap enough to watch whenever you'd like.

I agree, you still won't find it for less than £15 in the UK - 3 years after release.

Though this could indicate they're trying to get as much money out of it as possible, I doubt they didn't make any more.

Though it doesn't sound like the company lost money on it either. For a gorgeous launch title, one that actually looked as good as the previews promised, they can't complain much! Most multi-plat games still don't look as good as Heavenly Sword.
