Nice writing there: "If I just mention a couple of popular franchises, all the fanboys' click counts will put me through college!"
Who keeps posting NowGamer's drivel? It's like the Daily Mail, but without any of the "news".

An example where used is justified.
Activison are greedy as hell when it comes to their games - they're the last ones to reduce the price.
But why would you buy such mediocrity in the first place?
Halo may be average, but it's addictive as hell for millions.
You don't need complicated game play and narrative to be a good game: see Tetris, Mario Bros etc.
Couldn't give one iota.
But a new Mechwarrior game? Now you're talking!
He was later heard saying...
MS does need to get is rear into gear about the exclusives.
Dear Journalists,
Can we have have some real journalism now? We don't need one of these "Worst Consoles ever" articles ever 3 months.
Secret of Monkey Island is the very first in the series, so you'll want the Special Edition one over "Tales of".
Story's not incredibly important: you'll laugh your ass off at any of the games, but if you're in it for the plot that should be your first port of call.
From the previews and gameplay videos I don't think the Special Edition is that well made - graphically it doesn't stand out as well as other HD remakes of late (...
Apart from SEGA's dire attempt at DLC, and Blue Toad Murder files for an OK price. Oh and Agarest DLC if you've played that rather nifty game... but it's released a month after the American version, which itself was delayed several months after the EU version... where's the logic in that?
It seems the special offers just aren't as great as they were - there was a good 8 months where I would buy something each week.
Yet they've done much better than expected (even by your average Halo Fanboy's standards).
Does anybody save that much money buying used?
Most of the time it's cheaper to buy new online than it is to buy used in a store.
That can buy an awful lot of Defcons, Darwinias, Uplinks, World of Goos, Penumbras, Aquarias, Cave Storys, and Dwarf Fortresses.
Or half of a Call of Duty.
Sadly, Call of Duty will sell more, but gaming as a medium would just lose out if the money didn't got people like Introversion, and 2D Boy.
You got a disagree because you asked a silly question:
1) The developers never got the benefits in the first place, it was never put through before Labour left.
2) Every company benefits from corporations tax cuts.
3) The price of developing in Britain has never had an impact on the price of the game. Are Lionhead's games more expensive than Naughty Dog's at launch? No.
Your ignorance on the current issues is probably...
Albert Einstein.
They haven't really done much with the visuals :(
Still, good to have your childhood resold all over again I guess.
Grow up, journalists.
Pass.
Lol - I had a friend who bought a PS3 after trying Lair around my house!
Different strokes I guess.
You could probably get the Mega Drive/Genesis collection for the 360 for about the same price: You'll get about 40 more games on top.
No, you idiot. A 3 year warranty shows a lack of confidence in a product, not a standard 1 year one.
They're going for a 1 year warranty because it's cheaper, and until somebody proves the slim gets RROD, there's no point wasting money on something that doesn't (from a legal standpoint) affect the new console.
