People need to relax and realise that no matter how much the games industry rakes in, there are more important industries in life.
All business will benefit from the corporations tax.
This does not mean game prices will rise, because there was never any tax relief to begin with!
It's cheap, cheerful, visceral, and awesome. And it does it without the massive budget.
Also, if the controls are a problem with LAIR, try using the analogue stocks. Or are games never allowed to improve, and must always be remembered for how bad (the gaming journalists at the time thought) they were?
Crappy, uninspired article because the journalist had nothing better to do. We get it: ever platform has bad exclusives, we don't need 10 articles (in the loosest definition of the word) telling us about them over and over again.
But it would be too awesome to be contained.
Only XBL has games (The original STH 1-3 + Knuckles) worth buying, but if you haven't bought them several times over by now, there's something wrong with you.
If only SEGA cared for its other IPs as much.
OH NO HE DIDN'T!
One question I have to the idiots who call certain games Generic is: "Assuming you actually know what the word 'generic' means, how else would you expect the game to look?"
If every game looked like Wind Waker or Okamii, then they too would become generic.
If you want to have same-sex relationships, fine! The sooner we get everybody on the "games are art" bandwagon, the sooner games can't be altered because of trivial (to others) personal life choices.
"the tech we developed for that game is also owned by Sony."
So you guys spent several years on a crash course to develop a beautiful PS3 game, and despite the fact you're still operating (in a recession at that, when a lot of private entertainment companies aren't), and you gave up not only a great IP, but the tech that went with it so you could try and make some money without the financial safety net of SONY.
Good Luck with that. I'm s...
True - it would be good to see a comparrison on failure ratee - but we won't see that for some years.
However knowing that the Slim can use as little as half the power compared to previous incarnations makes a big difference for those who payy the electric bill.
2.8w (original model) compared to 0.8w (slim) when it's "off"? That's a massive difference!
Fun game, but way too buggy for my liking.
Camera going through walls, preventing you from seeing what's going on, loading times, terrible controls. Horrible graphics even by PS2 standards.
The cut-scenes and fights were good, but everything else was just bad.
I notice there was a girl singing off-screen, but they don't expect us to have backing dancers do they?
If game development were like cooking a chicken, God Hand was cooked just enough to give you salmonella.
What about Zack and Wiki? Ghosts and Goblins?
"Grand Theft Auto 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4 because now, Plus users will be able to experience the exciting opening of install screens and initial load time."
Where does a downloaded copy of MSG4 and GTAIV install itself to exactly?
Cheaper than a PSP3k... assuming you'd want all the games, I'd prefer to be ale to pick from any 10 in a range of games, but it's a good offer for those new to the PSP.
Cross-Chat is a side issue because they're talking about PSN+
When they talk about Cross-Chat, then it will be a main issue.
See the difference?
Sony and Quantic plan on increasing sales by adding Move support - this is not the action of a company that's finished with heavy Rain and moving on.
For practice playing the DS3 one handed, play Flower, use only one hand and treat it like a flight-stick :)
You mean 2?
Silent Updating would be lovely, but can you imagine the server lag? Patches go pretty slowly on the first day of release when everybody is downloading them - but that's negated when the user has to start the game first. Having every patch automatically get downloaded by every user would shut down most servers. I'd love the feature to be free, but it's not feasible.
Private Beta Access. Why would you presume to think you would have ac...
To save you 10 seconds of your lives, here's what Sony said:
"While we don’t comment on potential future announcements, we are always assessing the addition of new options to expand and enhance the gaming experience on the PS3."
i.e. "We'll let you know"
Do you remember what happened when somebody realised the banks actually didn't have the money they were trading with? A recession, right?
What happens when some foreign country (namely China) realises all the money they handed over to countries like the UK and USA, aren't actually going to get their money back?
Reducing the deficit keeps the lenders happy, and keeps them from turning around and going: "Actually, are you doing much with Kent? Only...
