But Live and PSN haven't exactly demonstrated the "No Packing/Shops == Lower Price" model that Steam and Stardock have.
If PSN and Live competed with Steam instead of each other, it would do wonders to sales.
I doubt they would add splitscreen - it's just not that common on PC.
Whilst online coop is great splitscreen is just so much more fun.
Borderlands was made so much more fun on console because of this, despite being inferior in almost every way to PC.

Most likely it is bull. Though Gold probably funded Move Development on the game, so it's really up to them which game gets it and which doesn't.
They could release a gold upgrade via PSN for $5 to let early adopters replay the game.
but if this game has split-screen co-op the consoles win. K&L was one of the better couch-coop games, even if the game had it's flaws - a mate and I would often play from start to middle, then middle to end in two sessions.
You'll be surprised by the amount of PC games that use it and don't tell you.

If it's a memory allocation issue then sure it could be patched, but I imagine they also changed the way the assets (textures, sounds, etc that would use the memory) are handled, perhaps even re-authored them.
If they did that then yes it could be a patch, around a 2-3GB patch.

There's only be two this gen so far - Dead Space (the first time you play through anyway), and Siren: Blood Curse. It would be nice to get Move support for S:BC, but I'm not sure how well it would work.
