Seems like Killzone is getting 7/10 because it's "just an FPS".
The same way we saw GT5 getting lower than expected scores because it's "Just a driving sim".
Nobody minds this, but the reviews are hard to swallow when the same magazine/website gives Halo Reach and Forza 3 9s and 10s. They must have been more than just FPSs and driving sims, though we all know that's rubbish.
I hope it is great, and I'm looking forward to it.
But restricting a digital medium is only ever used to generate hype.
I think this game deserves better than that.

All games need more control options, and subtitles should be mandatory - I'm not deaf, but even I struggle to hear some dialog when explosions are going off everywhere. That or I get bored by the slow or just terrible voice acting.

3 hours in the presence of a ThatGameCompany game is worth 30 in any given AAA game.
7/10 is a good score.
Quite why anybody needs 1-7/10 to tell them how bad a game is, I have no idea.
The problem isn't that 7/10 is a bad score, is that reviewers are far too eager to give games 8s or 9s out of ten for little reason beyond how excited they are.
