RROD, E74, extortionate HDD prices, and a dwindling lineup of AAA exclusives didn't give anybody a clue then?
Like all companies, Microsoft is not in the business of caring about anybody, they're there to make money. They just happen to be extra dickish about it.
Maybe not ITV... have you seen the line-up? Suicide is a more entertaining choice.
Your house is neither online, nor representative of Great Britain.
iPlayer does not host all content, what about American and other world shows licensed to play on the BBC, why aren't we allowed to watch them on the iPlayer?
Why does content have an expiration date? Surely as license payers we should be allowed to watch online content whenever we want.
You seem to concentrate on what the majority of TV viewers concentrate - "when can...
Now if only the BBC could spend some of our Licence money on :
a) More servers, there's no way a 16meg line should freeze the way ours do from time to time, and
b) Shows we actually want to watch. Just because it's popular on TV, does not mean the iPlayer has the same audience. EastEnders is popular on TV, online it isn't.
I don't think I've seen such an uninspired sale.
Most of the content has been reduced before, and at a cheaper price!
Those that are newly reduced in price, are still more expensive than the physical media at current price!
the good news is that 1 in 10 kids are no longer addicted to TV.
Rule 34 people. Never forget Rule 34.
Or is it Rule 35 if porn of something does not yet exist?
Article should be called "I just started playing online"
Wow, if only renders were indicative of the final product.
Stop calling it Jailbreaking! Nobody forced you into captivity!
Have the decency to call it cracking or hacking, but not some girly term Apple fans use because they're annoyed they paid £300 for a phone, and have to keep paying £30 a month for it.
Don't get me wrong - I don't mind when they come out with DLC month after the release . It shows they're still dedicated to the game.
But when they talk of DLC before the game is even out, you know there have been meetings discussing how best they can earn the most money.
"Oh, I'll try not to shed too many tears with how intuitive it is and all"
I concur. Buying games is very unintuitive.
They also brought him back from the dead, if I'm not mistaken?
"Can Sony detect such illdoers? Can they ban their consoles? Prevent them from connecting to PSN? "
Yes, and Yes.
It's not difficult to detect if all the trophies were unlocked at the same time.
They have banned PSN users for less. In the case of Trophies there's no point banning the console, because trophies are based on users.
What a shame.
I was looking forward to SEGA regurgitating games they've re-released ons several other platforms anyway.
You know what would be nice, SEGA? Games that have never been ported from Dreamcast.
Brilliant. Nothing says "Returning Mortal Kombat to its roots" like cutting out characters during development to be sold separately later.
The TOS say you can share with up to 5 other machines, 3 in some cases.
it's for people who have more than one PS3 (or a PSP, or an internet-enabled SONY TV, they count as shareable devices) in their homes.
It's ok if you share maybe one or two with a buddy - I've shared a few game with my younger brother who's still in school. I'd be happy to gift them, but SONY have yet to enable that on the store.
@nicaragua
True, but what if the protection was built into the game itself?
Like Batman's ability to glide in pirated versions of Arkham Asylum, or a lack of any instructions or tutorials in pirated Zelda Spirit Tracks.
All it takes is for SONY to get the devs to add it to their games, and since the highest rated games on PS3 are it's exclusives by 1st or 2nd parties, it wouldn't be difficult.
It's not like there isn't enough room on BluRay disks to contain code to detect hacks and brick the console.
No, FPSs don't need multiplayer. They need AMAZING Multiplayer.
Singularity, Bioshock 2, Dark Athena are all games that could have benefited from cutting the mediocre multiplayer and devoting those resources to making the best singleplayer experience possible.
A fantastic singleplayer game with middling multi makes an OK game. But a fantastic singleplayer game is still a fantastic game.
