Great. Now I have a Nerd Man-Crush.
He can hotseat GTA drunk with me any time.
This used to bother me when I plaed PC games, but moving to consoles I just stopped care about how accurate I was, and just concentrated on having fun.
It makes a difference in an FPS tournament, but as more games become spectacles with set pieces, you need less accuracy, and more fun.
Looks to me like the PS3 has some better AA going on, but with a lower LOD, so textures on some things look a little blurrier compared to the 360.
Other than that, like with most games that are compared, you would never care which version you were playing!
I'd recommend Sam and Max, very funny.
Without Criware I doubt the playstation brand would be where it is now.
Even as a PC gamer moving to console, I was impressed that a PS1 could transition seamlessly from gameplay models to FMV. Something quite difficult to do without massive optimisations.
Infiniminer?

"Zachtronics discontinued development of the game less than a month after its first release. The source code was made public"
Big difference. It would be ok for them to base the game off Infiniminer, but by deriving it from Minecraft they tread shaky legal ground.
Check your EULA and Warranty.
Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo can do what they like to their hardware and software.
If you don't like it, do not agree to the upgrade.
Sucks, but that's the law folks.
Where did you learn English, son?
If you can't write formally, don't.
Cease and Desist letter in 3... 2... 1...
Really - there's imitation, and then there's saying the word "Yoink!" while pickpocketing somebody.
I would not be surprised if he gets sued.
That would explain why the only core games (Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Zelda, Metroid, Resident Evil 4) all still retail for near RRP prices - there are just so many, obviously.
Of course any actual Hardcore games are left out to dry and end up in bargain bins (Day of Disaster, Mad World, Umpteen JRPGs)
Astounding find!
Apparently Capcom and Sqare Enix have released similar games this year and in 1998!
Incredible! It's 1998 all over again!
@killcycle
Yeah you're right. But "These are yours to keep forever once you have downloaded them." Which we know to be true - since if you haven't paid for it, it expires with the subscription.
I think the service is always evolving, as we don't always get the themes or avatars, but like last week we got Stacking, a brand new game, which I didn't expect.
I agree it's a pain to get games you already have, so it's more worthwhile to be a new PSN member. I made sure to join when there was a month giving me loads of stuff I did not yet have.
And the Discount one month, then free one or two months later I also noticed - but it is down the the game's publisher/devs. So if the Shatter devs thought they'd made a lot on the discount, perhaps they felt generous enough to give it away a couple of months later. It's n...
I joined when Sam & Max and Ratchet/Clank Quest for Booty were free.
That's £28 of the £40 subscription right there, and doesn't include the 4 games we get each month, or the added extras.
It nearly paid for itself in the first month!
I personally have not used the background DL service. I'm the kind of guy who turns everything off when I go to bed, including the internet.
I love the offers and free stuff that gets thrown our way, though - so that'll keep me coming back next year.
Now if only we could download game patches in the background WHILST we're playing them, that would be awesome :)
"Sega cut lots of content from Yakuza 3 in order to lessen the cost of the localization process"
Yeah... Cost cutting is the reason they kept the content for Yakuza 1, 2 and are keeping it in for 4.
Can we at least agree that SEGA are run by some dumb fucks instead of putting it down to money?
Edit:
Holy crap - it's out!
Yes, they do.
I was convicted of murder when I was 12 because I played Super Mario, and killed 3 people who got in my way by jumping onto their heads (police would later say I could have just walked around them, but whatever, Mario don't do that).
More recently, I am facing extradition to South America because after playing Uncharted, I murdered every non-white I could find there. Well that's not true, there was one white guy, he had white hair too.
In think I've played roguelikes more than Diablo. So many great flavours :D
Wait, is this guy upset that Bioware held back the visuals of the PC version, or that they just ensured there was less of a difference between the console and PC versions?
Article reeks of "I am angry because they didn't make my game".
