Except the whole, just breaking even thing on each PS3 sold. Microsoft and SONY do not expect to make money from the consoles, they make their money from software licences and royalties for their platform.
The original Xbox took 6 million to develop, and never recuperated that through sold hardware.

Planescape: Torment had you play as one pre-set character (with the same Warrior, Rogue, Mage choices too), and that to this day has the best story of any video game.

Also, with only 3 women listed (only 1, Jade actually works in video games), it's pretty damning of the video game industry. It needs more women, and not for their awesome voice (Claudia Black), or ass (Yvonne Strahovski).

Heavenly Sword's sold 1.5, on one platform.
Since Ninja Theory famously said they made no money off Heavenly Sword, I wonder how much they made off this game? Since that was the reason they went multi-platform.

They've already dropped the price of 3 months as a special offer, but I have a feeling that may be the norm. In which case, it won't be long before the client goes free, and perhaps the rest of the game.

You admit Microsoft sold the 360 at a loss pre-2007. So since it's profitable, Microsoft no longer need to sell any new games?
