RE4 originally released on GameCube in 2005. It released on PC in 2014.
So you played a 9 year old game and seemingly expected 2014 levels of game play? No wonder you were disappointed.
It gained its hype because it was one of the first games to do the over the shoulder perspective. It took the RE franchise in a new direction that wasn't nearly as divisive back then as people seem to think it was when they look back at it now. RE7 was divisive. RE4 w...
Same exact thing with some small pieces of content? Midgar took like 5 hours to get through in the original. It now takes 40+ hours lol. I would hardly call that "some small pieces of content".
@Chriswynnetbh
I think you need to go look up what the word remake means. Because you seem to have your own definition.
Actually, here, I'll help you out. Here are 3 definitions from different sites for the word remake.
1. To make again, or differently
2. anything that has been remade, renovated, or rebuilt
Key word: RENOVATED
3. To make again, or anew
Face it. Its a remake. It may not ...
RE1 Remake is fantastic. But so is RE2 Remake. They are just a different perspective, is all. I like them both equally. RE1 Remake certainly doesn't shit on RE2 Remake.
Is that you hating on articles without reading them again? I'd loveee to see what you would say had you actually read this article.
In no way was he hating on the game...
I feel like the writer doesn't know what a remake is.
How can he say the story is different enough to keep him guessing and the game play is obviously very different, but then say its a "rebuild"? He doesn't even say what a rebuild is. By definition, this is a remake. Period.
I don't think there's any way in hell Kojima works with Konami again.
Licensing how? Are you telling me that when the original PS3 came out and had full backwards compatibility with every PS2 game that Sony when and made sure that they had the licensing for every PS2 ever made?
That seems unrealistic to me.
How is this even news if he used cheats and exploits?
lol. He would fight with a hammer and nails.
How is Gamestop messing that up? Name any other place you can buy a console and get 5 games for $50 with it. Thats a good deal. The games would normally cost an extra $100.
I'm totally with you. Elite: Dangerous is fantastic. And I fully understand that there are people that like this. Thats perfectly fine. I didn't. Not sure why some people (not you) felt the need to get so defensive over my opinion.
Unnecessary? No. It really isn't. I played this game for hours on end and still had to collect materials to do pretty much anything. Maybe I didn't make it far enough to have the things you mentioned, but again, I sunk at least 10 hours into this game and was still running around collecting things just to do the most menial tasks. Clearly I'm a different type of gamer than you, because in my opinion, a game shouldn't take 10 hours before it stops being a tedious resource gathe...
Did I say anything about not understanding that others like this game? Or that no one else should like it? No. I just stated my opinion.
And let me guess, you have to collect mass amounts of resources to build several components to keep it fueled?
This game had so much potential, I even tried it after all the missing content was added, but it doesn't change what this game is at its heart. A resource gathering simulator thats mind numbingly boring. You literally can't even walk around without having the necessary materials to power your space suit, have breathable air, and climate control so you don&...
How is it omitted? Its in the description of this article on this very page, and it says it on the picture of the actual Gamestop ad.
SPOILER!!!!!!!!
More lore than people might need? Nah. It finally puts to rest the debate of whether or not the Doom Slayer is the same Doom Guy from the original Doom games or not. That was essential.
Are you not aware they are currently working on RE8?
Dude, Resident Evil 7 was more like the original RE's than anything that has come after RE4. (With the exception or RE2 Remake. It wasn't a run and gun game at all.
RE2 Remake wasn't a run and gun game either. Its arguably the best RE game ever made.
RE3 Remake is very similar to the original. With the exception of the pulled content. But RE3 was not nearly as hard-core Survival Horror as the ones before it, it was slightly more action oriente...
X-Com Enemy Unknown, Enemy Within, and X-Com 2 all came to consoles. I see no reason why they wouldn't also bring this one to console.
