This would be a cool mechanic. In gameplay videos we've seen times where the player os standing ready with his hand on his sword while still sheathed, then drawing it quickly and slashing in the same movement for a single hit kill.

Mind you, I really miss the old turn-based ATB battle system. For me, that's my only issue. Its a remake. The story is free to be retold with changes. Thats what remakes are. You can remake something and be totally faithful to the original, or change things up. Nothing about a Remake says it needs to be the exact same as the original. Not with movies, songs, or video games.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions. There are comments from another person claiming to be a dev on the game that says the leaked ending isn't exactly accurate.
So does it have a serious lack of content like Friday the 13th did? Because aside from all the glitches, that was the biggest complaint about that game, is that there was only one map and once you played it a few times there was nothing else to do.
I'm not sure why developers keep trying to make these kinds of games.

FF Remake is a remake of an old game. Persona 5 Royal is the same exact game as Persona 5, just with some additional content.
They are two completely different things.
Well I mean, even the original announcement video said "Play it first on PS4". Which definitely implies it is time exclusive.

The combat is good, but its definitely missing the level of strategy and thinking that comes with a turn based game.
I'm playing this, and it really doesn't seem to matter what abilities or spells you use, or when. Sure, certain elemental spells hurt effect enemies more or less. But in the turn based games there was such a higher level of thinking involved about how you used each character's turn. Thats what I really miss.
How so? The game play mechanics are all totally different. In fact, the only thing similar is that the graphics aren't a huge step forward. But there wasn't a huge leap between X-Com Enemy Within and X-Com 2 either.
Maybe this is a well known fact I never heard of, but are Biggs and Wedge named after the Star Wars characters?
In the original trilogy two of the X-Wing pilots and friends of Luke Skywalker were named Biggs Darklighter and Wedge Antilles.
