The beta for Battlefront 2 was no different than the final release. The ONLY difference is they turned off the shop with real money microtransactions. And they only did that because of the gigantic outrage from fans prior to release. I believe it was even still a massive grind of over 1,000 hours to unlock all the heroes.

I've been a comic fan and collector for 35 years and I did not like this game.
People's complaints are 100% valid. People just expected more from it. And yes, all the characters do feel the same. Pound square to do their melee combo. Hit triangle to do a heavy every now and then. Use their ranged attack. Use abilities when they cool down. Rinse and repeat. Thor and Iron Man were the only ones that felt any different because they could fly. But flying wasn't fun...
1. Its called Gotham Knights. Arkham isn't "literally" in the title anywhere.
2. The trailer does not say its a direct continuation of Arkham Knight. Mostly because Batman didn't die in Arkham Knight. Also, Batgirl is crippled at the end of Arkham Knight.
Look, I know its dumb. It LOOKS like the Arkham Universe. It PLAYS like the Arkham Universe. But it isn't. The real ending of Arkham Knight shows Batman didn't die. And even ...
One of my biggest complaints about the last two Arkham Games is that you couldn't play as Robin or Nightwing in the story. I've always felt they needed an Arkham game where you could play as other members of the Bat Family.
Robin hasn't been a joke of a character since the late 80's. At least not to people thag pay attention to comics. Nightwing has always been awesome.
I would happily play as either of them even if Batman were playable.
This isn't in the Arkham universe. There is no last game.
But this isn't the Arkhamverse.
People that say "Its just the beta, give it a chance" don't understand what betas are for. They aren't to make changes to the game. What you played is the game. The main point of a beta is to test online stability. Thats why you really only see betas for online games. Never single player games. They might fix a few bugs here and there, but a month is not enough time to fix much.
So I just think its funny that people actually think the final game is somehow...
I see this brought up a lot. I don't think it would be nearly as hard as people think.
Superman fights villains all the time that give him a run for his money. So they can easily find villains to fight that he's not too overpowered for.
As for his powers. Yeah, Superman COULD fly through buildings. But he doesn't for obvious reasons. When roaming the city you shouldn't be able to just smash through buildings willy nilly. That isn't in...
With Brainiac as the villain I'm pretty sure the entire Justice League is being mind controlled.
But with focusing on Superman it kind of feeds off the entire reason they built the Suicide Squad team in the movies. They needed a team they could use in case any heroes ever went rogue.
Which I find funny. None of these guys could even come close to scratching Superman's balls. Unless they get Kryptonite at some point.
I get it. But games have been able to pull it off. X-Men Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance come to mind. But to your point, I'm fairly certain this game won't be an over the top button mashing dungeon crawler. And I can't really think of any times in more modern games where a computer controlled partner has been very good.

Just because they do it in an awful TV show no one likes doesn't make it okay.
This. I mean, nothing about Suicide Squad looked like the Arkham games. Yet, we got a trailer for Gotham Knights, that LOOKS like the Arkham games, PLAYS exactly like the Arkham games, and even picks up the story right where Arkham Knight ended, yet.......isn't in the Arkham Universe lol.

The big difference is The Ancient One started out as a white female in the movies. If they had made her a tibetan male in Dr Strange, then a tibetan male in Endgame, or vice versa, it would have been weird.
That makes no sense at all. You realize all those Spider-Man movies you mentioned take place in different film universes, right? They are all Peter Parker, but different versions for each film series.
This is in the Arkham universe. Where its already established that Deadshot is white.
That would be like making Peter Parker white in Spider-Man 1, then black in Spider-Man 2. It wouldn't make sense.

This is an Avengers game, not X-Men. And it looks like they are sticking with characters that have been in the movies, or will soon be in the movies/Disney+ shows.
The only exception I could understand would be Wolverine because he was an Avenger for a long time in the comics.
I don't know why you think that. These are all Avengers characters that have been in the movies and some that will appear in the Disney+ shows when they finally come out. Even She-Hulk is getting her own show.
How about a proper Command and Conquer 4? Tiberian Twilight was a complete P.O.S. Lets just forget that one and re-do it.
