Myst OG/Remake though.
Yes, but it's complicated. Since most of these responses haven't been helpful, I'll try to break the instanced stuff down more thoroughly:
Chapters 1 & 3 are the standard RPG instances you're exactly thinking about: start in the SOT standard world and then go through an unlocked portal.
Chapter 2, 4, & 5 are still managed WITHIN the main world, but the special places you go to are set away from the other islands. Your ship COULD be attacke...
I'm really shocked at how much they liked Last Stop.
With some slight tweaking that description could be a Biomutant haiku.
@13sentinel
1.) Even stranger how you decide not to respond to what I've said above. That says a lot about you tbh.
2.) You don't know what "OBJECTIVELY" means and this sentence doesn't make sense within the context of my previous comment.
Two consecutive misses by you.
You understand we're on an aggregate site, right? Submitting something here doesn't automatically mean you're the author of said piece. Just to make this crystal clear: I haven't played Rift Apart (yet) and haven't written a review on it.
"Those aren't my words." - coolbeans
@elazz
-"That really doesn't make sense at all. Then why give scores at all."
Why not? That kind of system managed just fine for Netflix until the convenient Amy Schumer debacle. Perhaps a recommend/not recommend could be cleaner template, but I don't see that not getting people enraged too. Just speaking ill about Rift Apart nets you heat.
-"Also moderating your own submissions and giving out warnings... C'...
1.) Now you're comparing submissions from two different websites from two different people.
2.) Even though it nets that score by the tip of its claws, 3/5 isn't ridiculous for that middle-market game.
Huh? Those aren't my words.
Well, all I can say there is glad you enjoyed it. How did you feel about Virginia in comparison?
@dbcoops
I'm not so sure about that. I think there's worthwhile potential in applying a pure visceral reaction to any game you want. No need to make qualifiers and just share why you have utter contempt or unbridled praise for a thing, and whatever permutations in between those polar opposites. But I can understand the application making the process messier than it should. Being capable of 'hating' a functioning game vs. a non-functioning one (like a bro...
@Majin-vegeta
Metacritic's review editorial team assesses potential candidates and selects the ones they like. I've never seen any indication about having to dole out $$, so I'm not sure where you got that information.
Qt3 operates on Netflix's old 'love it/hate it' system. So, it simply translates to "I hated R&C Rift Apart."
1.) Having just joined within the last hour and already commenting on site politics like you know this place? There's no way you're not a dupe account (and I'm 99% sure I know the OG account too). You're free to post on your main, so I don't get this tactic.
2.) On net, ardent xbox-critical fans have survived tougher restrictions/bans more than PS-critical fans. That SHOULDN'T be a flex b/c following site guidelines is what's the better rubric...
But it's dependent upon what kind of inferences are BEING DRAWN. Responding with this vague, pompous observation about how you're able to see something more about me from one sentence is not even in the same league as what you're describing in your 2nd response. Because of that, I'm more than justified to anticipate uncharitable mind-reading from you.
See what I mean? Even years on, the reflexive method to tarnish/question my review goes back to an appeal to its popularity.
"It's a video game, it doesn't need to be Tolstoy"
Never asked for that. I'd settle for a well-paced, decently-written adventure that wasn't so pretentious with its allegories.
[EDIT] : But since you've been so nice and cordial, I'll throw a bone your way. Even though I was mak...
What might that be? I'm guessing this'll involve a heavy dose of mind-reading on your part.
Considering the typical responses to it? I think it panned out alright.
What's your barometer for "little in the way of action" here? Because Detroit could hardly be considered conservative in that department; in fact, some of the artificial shoe-horning of action he does is effective in glossing over contrivances and plot holes.
Played and reviewed it, actually.
I played it closer to release and wound up disliking it. It came out of the game in such a sloppy state.
