There's been a Knack-sized hole in every gamer's heart since 2 came and went.
Translation: the next best game of all time is coming soon! Show me the money, Knack!
If those other studios are preoccupied with other projects, I don't think that's a big issue. Why not try experimenting with studio expansions if that's what they want?
I mean... I think it could be considered a decent horror experience if LKA did a better job cleaning out the bugs & tech issues. They have a good hook with the old-timey photography stuff, but could've done more with it.
That's not fair. Nickelback is timeless, and every reviewer has made a reference in their honor (at least once).
;)
-"You mean like Halo and the super forgettable Deathloop ?"
Whataboutism. And Halo MP was open about pricing during it's soft-launch in mid-November.
-"At least GT is the best racing sim but those games aren’t the best anything"
Are you implying that exceling in a particular genre means people be less critical towards it? I've gotta say, it seems like you're conveniently turning a corner on this compa...
@Christopher
"The 'true score' exists in the Schroedinger's Review Copy scenario"
But doesn't that run into a problem of suggesting both rationales have equal footing? I just can't buy into that given the preexisting evidence we have for one (acquired codes) versus the other (paid for game). Given the AAA industry's history of stuff like press events (with nice hotels and/or swanky merch) or those indie examples of posi...
@Hatchet
-"In this instance metacritic scores affect developer bonuses, which speaks to motivation, willingness to perform at a better level, staying with said company, etc. Metacritic also affects sales."
Unless you have a link proving Gran Turismo 7 bonuses are tied to MetaCritic, this excuse doesn't apply here. And even if that WERE the case, why should any blame rest on the reviewer? Gaming corporations started that misguided trend. T...
@TGGJustin
1.) Why can't they air their complaints about Sony's selectivity bias in an article?
2.) Why can't they score a bunch of PlayStation-published games below the average?
You're literally talking about the nature of opinions. To actually see some posters here justify a publisher playing favorites with review codes, essentially rigging the game in their favor, against an established MetaCritic/OpenCritic Top Critic gaming ...
Let me get this straight: you want to throw water at a reviewer who - likely - had to pay for a copy, like a regular customer? Wouldn't being unentangled by PR or corporate influence lead to a more honest verdict than the corrupt "gamez jurnalists" posters always talk about?
-Fromsoft's first time transplanting the Souls formula to an open world harkens back to 3D Zelda's first step into an open world, even if in subtle ways.
-That review header is too rad to pass up.
Now some of your cherry-picked links are to various users from the forums? What are you doing?
You literally sound unhinged here over an innocuous set of sales stats.
Neither are most writers.
Fair point.
Tough to really gauge that from this bit of news. Bioware's balance/quality of EITHER has been damaged since 7th gen.
I mean... that's *probably* a step in the right direction compared to what I gleaned from Andromeda's lackluster writing. Not sure I've read/seen any of his original work, but I've enjoyed several of his videos.
-"This site should be struck off n4g"
You know you can just challenge the review, right? We're not going to muzzle sites just because they bother you.
-"I mean, the focus is on earning those vehicles, right? I feel that was my main point, you earn up to your "special" car?"
It's dependent on the mode, really. The pure TDM stuff treats them as a key towards damaging hits and body counts. Objective variants have a slightly different vibe.
-"There was some customization stuff, but it fell well below what was already in Rocket League."
Sure, but RL has ...
What have I done? lol
