No problem. :)
@writer of article (if you see this)
You're forgetting several of the AC + Lost Planet DLC deals.
I suggest raising the issue up in a ticket to get an explanation.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 has 42 'perfect' review scores on there. :/
"GOOD competition is good for the industry".
That actually confuses the message rather than helping since "good" can be separated into several different categories:
-Ideas/features that pushed the industry in a new direction
-Sustainability
-"Benevolence" to the consumer
-Value
-etc.
Coming up with some scale of what you would define as "good competition" just becomes arb...

"...as if to suggest that women were being denied work. If you start making up problems and going off topic, the real problems that you discuss won't be taken seriously."
Although that does seem to indeed go too far from the actual news regarding this topic, the less-sensationalized "tech industry isn't a pure, gender-unbias meritocracy" argument holds some weight.
-Okay, that would make more sense as a response, but I'm not sure how anyone else could read that from the first reply (sorry to get pedantic about this).
If you remove all parenthetical statements, this is what is shown: "You can call PSN 'gimped' all you want, but the PS3 launched with wifi, which I think proves otherwise."
-"(which I even mentioned I have no clue what that even means, so I fail to understand how you thought I c...
I don't see how built-in wifi would disprove the "gimped" portion of Never's statement. That's more of a testament to the features included with each PS3 (the hardware side), not the online infrastructure.
-That's what the etc. part was for.
"But that's irrelevant to the narrative."
You're kind of missing the point if this is your response to that. I mentioned the gameplay components because this duality fuels the game's logic but doesn't have the effect of "ludonarrative dissonance" in the process.
"tl;dr if you think the Assassin's Creed games would be substantially different gameplay-wise or ...
The Animus isn't just a framing device for the narrative; it's also there to justify the "video-gamey" parts as well: logic behind the HUD, reason for never "dying," etc. It also acts as an interesting way for Desmond to grow in his abilities despite initially being confined.
That sounds integral to me.
"I cannot understand why certain people would rather insist 'Xbox One will sell fine! Microsoft 4evr!' instead of letting Microsoft take a few bruises so that they improve."
A strikingly similar rationale invaded the Sony Defense Force during PS3's beginnings so this shouldn't be surprising. It's just an endless cycle of defending X company during their lesser moments because they're pretending some sort of "bond" has been forged. ...

To go over some of your points:
-The 'based on true events' reasoning is actually a fault I found with the game once it turned out to just be a crutch. Pacing is essentially torn to shreds when learning about the protagonist then jumping to an unconnected desert warfare mission against pirat...
Heh...you should see when I get my hands on a game with sp, co-op, and MP. :P
tl;dr version:
+Good visuals
+Unmistakable charm thanks to good writing
+Variety of good voice actors
+Solid value
-Ending feels phoned-in
-Poor design from certain puzzles leads to frustration
-Terribly optimized engine (loading screens, framerate, initially couldn't finish game)
-Bad hint system

You started it by tempting me with a game I couldn't finish until now. [o_o]~
Heh...that didn't even cross my mind.
Fat Man's username has been that since joining years ago. Don't take it the wrong way.
Hope you enjoy this review misplaced in the blog section...AGAIN.
For those of you who aren't aware of why I have 'UPDATE' listed in the title, the details of why that's there and why this is submitted here can be found in one of my previous blogs:

It seems like I'm the only freak who thinks 3 was better than 2. :(
I think it has to do with the GOTY edition coming in a few months (IF this price is permanent).
Sheesh...refrain from reviewing for a few months and now firing in rapid succession.
A grade for the effort, superman. :)
