"Thinking about it logically, which I tend to do in blogs more than comment articles, it's kinda sneaky for them to try to slip this in after all the great things they said about gamer rights."
Heh..pretty much. When it was initially suggested in forums, some stated they didn't hear that PS+ online part b/c they were hooting and hollering from Sony's 'good news' before it. "That's the point" was the first thought that came to mind...
Everyone at 5 or higher stays where they are. What's really not fair is how I'm still being denied the ultimate prize of n4g commenting: the 11th bubble. Now, I'll never reach it with bubbles being removed for good. :'(
Thanks for providing the link for the beta invites, Dusty. Now comes the million dollar question:
Who will be the first poster to have their bubble count go down to one again?
Edit: My guess is Cat. [o_o]~
Did somebody say Xbone?!?! XD
Glad that's out of the way. I thought this was a pretty good blog (grammar nazi sense tingles in some places though). The thing that's going to enrage me is the possibly awesome games they show at E3. Not the Halo or Gears--excitement declined for both to the point that I haven't touched 4 or Judgment, but some new stuff I'm sure they'll show. That's a feeling I've never had before: angry at awesome experiences bei...
If you hear any of the comments they cherry pick, you know those posters are stating more than their disagreement with the review. It's essentially the perfect opportunity to display just how stupid and angry the internet can be over review scores (typically), as if they hold an emotional stake with a franchise or company.
There are more than half a dozen reviews for it on metacritic already, so I don't think that's the case. At least, I wouldn't think it would be since I don't see the motive in pushing out official reviews for an XBLA game.
I see. Thanks for that info.
(Sorry for responding so late :P)
I disagree, I think it can be fun to see the debates; not because there's 'lunacy' in them but because it demands a more one-on-one approach to discussing what makes X game the best experience of the year (in their opinion).
"...saying things like 'Oh, GOTY is def between these two or three games' when the reality is that there are millions out there who wouldnt even consider those three supposed GOTY contenders as contenders simply because they haven...
It's not very fun to play this 'GOTY deathmatch' when the general public hasn't been able to touch one of said contenders yet. :/
You're cherry picking reviews between two games in separate genres, different price points upon launch, and what kind of controller is required for them to function.
Very poor comparison.
Thou fool, death cannot stop me now! After years of patiently toiling with the "hardcore gamers" here and acting like I always knew what I was talking about on this site (2nd part of that's destined to get ripped apart), my newfound mod powers can finally be used for the sole purpose Ballmer hired me to accomplish: editing all comments on here to praise MS for the Xbox One's first E3 and beyond!
"You know they are. Hell, we all know they are!"
*whistles while walking away*
It certainly takes good character to admit when you've overreacted. For that, you deserve some respect.

Pretty much. Lambasting a drop in the game critic ocean over a 7.5 (which is considered a 'good' rating last time I checked) is really not healthy to the medium in almost every way imaginable: as an art form, as an entertainment industry, etc. For us to now be at a point where deviating 'too much' can make one's opinion be determined as wrong by the majority, before even said majority has even touched the final product, is disheartening.
-A 6/10 score ...
"-1 point for
2. Trotting out any mainstream celebrity"
Given what occurred at Stone + Parker's presentation, could this negative be canceled out if said celebrity actually makes a joke against the very company that hired them?
Sorry I've taken long to get back to this one.
"The chart came about long after their inconsistencies were highlighted. IF any publication made their bias know, people wouldn't need to speculate or think about creating charts in the first place."
I'm not arguing that creating said chart wasn't to be unexpected, or fruitless for that matter. What I'm getting after is what their bias is STEMMING from. After two whole generation...
"Outdated data doesnt mean its all of a sudden irrelevant. It showed patterns from way back then."
It shows a scoring pattern between 360/PS3 start and 2010...for a magazine that's been going for almost 20 years. We're taking a chunk of time in which anti-PS bias wasn't hinted at until this generation came around. Why not have an updated version between then (2010) to now (including TLoU) to see if there's been some upward flow in their grades for ...
Well, that's probably a first on here.
Congrats to that achievement, again. :)
If it's any consolation, I got a mosquito bite today.
"The Xbox One will arrive November 2013 for $4.99 in the U.S."
I think I'll bite at that price. :P
