"This comprehensive collection charts developer thatgamecompany's progress from rudimentary titles Duke War, Gravediggers and Nostril Shot..."
Is that so? I've never seen that in the product info on Amazon. Even more tempting to pick up now. :D
I know a couple on here (maybe more) that propose the first as being the best. They say it feels more like a game then the later ones.
@yewles
An interesting review though I disagree with the score. I could never find this one to be more than...passable for the standards of when it released. It was respectable to have a mix of platforming, shooting, puzzles, etc. but it excels in almost no regard.

Good, good.
Good question. I know which user you're bringing up and asked a similar question the last time I saw him posting stuff. most of cgood's response (changed a bit to fit your questions:
"IF it's just the YouTube video, report it. If it's an actual blog with a video attached? It's fine. Originality isn't an issue as items that are not only on N4G are not eligible for winning our monthly contests."
Naturally, if he sneaks in t...
Not quite. Adding to zerocrossing's portion, there were many posters--me included until a short while ago--who didn't know unoriginal content in user section was not strictly prohibited. It wasn't technically our fault 100% of the way because the "Where the Content Comes From" part mentioned above isn't in the guidelines you click at the bottom of the page but rather tucked away in the forums' dedicated page about this particular topic.
-"1. The fool remains the outsider, Jar-Jar turned to a politician; so even IF he was dubbed the fool for the story, he turned into a politician, which meant that Lucas never intended for him to be a fool."
That's a...very bad way of determining what a writer's original intentions for a character must have been. This actually fits perfectly back into what I suggested earlier regarding Binks' later roles being diminished. You can probably find some stuf...
After looking at the a-little-over-3-minutes rant Beer made that's been edited on youtube (don't want to directly post link because of language), Beer's actually...spot-on ONCE contumely is removed. Whether they like it or not, Blowfish's success and their previous discussions on twitter + elsewhere has elevated them to big personalities within the indie scene. If you've held a previous conviction against the MS/indie debacle yet tell one of the most popular gaming magaz...
"what fish said was actually a well known line from an episode of futurama."
Exactly: http://cdn.memegenerator.ne...
This is what annoys me about the title only grabbing part of the quote, leaving out the context of the joke--which is still a rude one to make though.
"People need to chill the f*** out."
The theme for almost every console war debate. :P
That's only four, silly. :P
"but the fact is ... all females in this game are large chested"
The rest of your comment is a typical, valid counter I've seen, but I have to correct the quoted part:
http://oyster.ignimgs.com/m...
"Actually there is: that was my whole purpose of posting what I posted, and everything else is just off topic that Jar-Jar was not needed, and I posted a link stating so. Everything else after that is pointless, because it doesn't negate the website I posted."
But what you posted was in regards to Best's remarks to his lack of a role in Ep. II and III, not the main point regarding Lucas' selling-out to mainstream when there actually was an artistic purpo...
"Don't judge MMOs based on that terrible game"
I thought that was a great title. :/
Though still willing to hold onto the 'holy trinity' layout and other WoW tropes firmly, I loved the art style, the SP components placed into an MMO, etc. etc.
Would like to see how it is with Hutt Cartel expansion now that it's been brought up.
I still question the "one of the best games of 2009" part to be honest. Perhaps I'm weird like that.
Edit: For the sake of clarifying: ...if I were to narrow down "the best of..." to the top 5 GOTY nominees I select.
"That was sarcasm, because Jar-Jar didn't fit at all."
Caught that it was, which is why I didn't bother quoting it. I've already made my point, you made yours so there's no need bringing that back up.
"Greek tragedies focus on the main character making more or less cerebral discoveries about his situation, and Shakespearean ones are emotional..."
Okay, perfect. Just like I mentioned in regards to Anaki...
@pixelsword
"That was loosely a Greek Tragedy and can be laughably be called so; it was as much Shakespearean as Greek, which made the later three films seem patched together."
That's...sort of the reason why I made the "QUALITY/EXECUTION" part of my last comment. I was just challenging your myopic notion that Lucas just plopped him randomly in there for the kiddies.
Edit: "...it was as much Shakespearean as Gr...
"Especially when you're a paying customer signed up for Gold service... There should be NO ads whatsoever in that case."
We still act as if having a subscription saves us from seeing any ads? I certainly don't like ads, just pointing out how that rationality fails if you've ever subscribed to a newspaper or magazine.
"Lucas sold out his artistic sensibilities because he knows the mainstream will bring their kids so therefore he put a character to fit-into an perfectly well-tuned universe; Jar-Jar was the Poochie of Itchy and Scratchy."
I just felt like informing you in regards to this: Binks fits in perfectly in the Fool/Trickster role since Lucas' aim for the prequels was Greek Tragedy. It really wasn't some case of "getting the kiddies" marketing as first o...
Not THIS bad, but pretty bad. The critic average seems to hover around the high 3's/low 4's.
In case reviewer sees this:
"The Xbox 360 version, which we haven't played, apparently offers somewhat crude visuals and has issues with framerates, as well as suffering from a few bugs, so make sure to pick up the PC version."
There's a PS3 version, not a 360 version.
And I gotta say I disagree with such a high score, especially when there's rarely any semblance of challenge throughout the game.
