I'm trying to help any N4Ger with insomnia.
It seems like that pun is used near-Infinitely across the web.
^I suppose it's agree to disagree, then. I'm not sure why people bring up the RPG part as such a negative. In comparison to ME2 gameplay, it did go a bit more in-depth in that regard.
^Didn't mean to hit disagree since I see what you mean. Reading my quoted part, and that last sentence, wasn't the perfect way of putting it, now that I see it.
That was a comment that stuck out to me too, though not just for laughs at it being prophetic now. It's difficult to jump into examining Conan's comment b/c it's a.) tough to assume one's intentions with such a short statement and b.) a bit of a minefield that risks heated responses. But...what the heck, I suppose.
-I guess the thing that initially draws the parallel to the work 'After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the...
Hope everyone enjoyed the review. Feel free to leave any comments and/or questions below.
I suppose I might as well jump in for this now. My strategic planning tells me #244 is a true winna'.
May the odds be ever in my favor. ;)
I think you're confusing devs aren't willing to try female leads with 'what they've been TOLD by publishers not to try' (in regards to AAA industry at least).

I'm pretty sure one can play ME3 and still possibly come away saying things like that, unless a game's quality now lives or dies by its final half-hour.
@Vega
Sure, there seemed to be some other ones like Strider and more that could be better than this DLC to anyone else (since it's all opinion). Given the review by McShea and his extended article on why he enjoyed this, I think the rationalizations are pretty sound--granted, I do agree with them too.
Check them out if you haven't already.
"Let's be honest everyone read the title and thought this one guy own an oscar for Gravity(which isn't even possible)."
I'm confident the actual truth is everyone, or practically everyone, already understood it wasn't possible for just this guy to win an Oscar in Visual Effects. Even anyone who just knows the bare-bones behind-the-scenes details for what goes into any movie (thousands upon thousands of man hours with a plethora of different teams) o...
If it's quality DLC, why not?
Nice review, Fog.
"I was kind of skeptical about Strider reboot from just knowing Double Helix since they make hit or miss games other than Killer Instinct but they did not disappoint with this game as I had fun with Strider."
I can understand that hesitancy. It's rather funny how often the "*grumble* it's Double Helix" mentality was being passed around since leading up to KI's release, but judging by what I've seen/hear...
I think the best approach for me would be to hunker down with this crazy cat lady nearby. Before this survival horror situation happened, she was considered really weird and avoided often because of being obsessed with mooning people, both IRL and by choosing an online avatar that depicted someone mooning others. But when this survival horror situation occurs, I think staying in her environment and finding ways to craft those cats into weapons could be my best way of surviving.

"@coolbeans, I did, all he seems to complain about are the RPG elements, but he doesn't make them sound so bad so I'm guessing politics influenced the rest of the score."
Does he need to use terms like "despicable," "gross," etc. to make them sound worse? He points out flaws which translates to a lesser score, naturally. Given how sedate he ACTUALLY acted over the politically-incorrect stuff, I don't see ...
Even me?

Isn't the PS3 version (digital download) like...less than eight gigs?
@FlameHawk
"Reviewing a game based on politics is just ridiculous."
I suggest reading beyond the header to see what the reviewer's criticisms actually are. From review:
"South Park: The Stick of Truth is the tale of two games. It is a ridiculously off-the-wall black comedy that works in every way and successfully captures the tone and essence of the show. Unfortunately, it is also a satirization of the RPG genre that manag...

I see. I'd definitely like to try it out when it releases.
I do kind of agree with the sentiment, although I personally still like playing through these campaigns. People seem to often just paint every COD campaign as "just another American hoorah, chest-beating affair," but it's often not really THAT bad. Depending on which one's being played, they typically do have that "hooray 'murica/SAS" aspect to them but they're often buoyed by the over-the-top theatrics in a way that makes many scenes play out as if the d...
