Well, it is part of the Summer Spotlight promotion going on with Xbox One. And Major Nelson's probably going to mention it in the This Week On Xbox video today.
^Missed that the first time. :/
Thanks Toiletsteak.
Alan Wake was just recently added to the BC list.

Hooray! :D
Never got a chance to get into the XBLA version so perhaps I'll take the dive here.
Looks like a great puzzle game.
"Just a Note: Tickets will be going out the rest of this week for other award winners."
We're not through with awards yet. ;)
Now I have two more to add to my hit list of 'users who stole my chances of winning a console when it just within my reach.'
It's gonna be a bit trickier with 2 mods on the list now. :P
"PS4 Console w/Game Codes: WildArmed"

I could almost taste it. Oddly enough, I had a premonition Wild might win that one too. Sounds crazy but that seriously happened before I'd seen this posted.

Why does the dominant reaction to low scores of this particular game end up being the reviewer just not 'getting' it?
Sterling's been vocal about art games + walking sims in the past. A walking sim like The Stanley Parable has gotten great praise from him before too so he's not foreign to this type of game concept. https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Well...okay I can kind of concede to that point in regards to their excellent site design around their inception + amount of extra exclusive content by them. But looking back through their reviews dating all the way to there, I have doubt, no... 99% certainty that they were a big offender in game ads fueling puffing up some of their review scores of big games.
Yet another instance of pointing out the incompetence of certain game critics (looking at you, GameFailers).
Heck, my 5TB was just ~$20 from the same brand. Only difference is it's just black and the box says "for PC" (though it works just fine for Xbox One too).
To be honest, Portal (1) being so short is actually an aspect that plays to its advantage quite well. Each level, GLaDOS monologue, etc. was stripped to the point of there being no filler at all. Haven't played Portal 2 so I don't know about that one.
That was the first thing that came to my mind upon reading this.
"7. Star Wars Knights of the old Republic"
100 Hail Marys for forgiveness on this one alone. :P
Maybe one of the N64 titles, like Banjo or Conker.
Premise sound really, really interesting. Not exactly lighting up in reviews but still sounds like a cool idea.
This is a review of the first Witcher game, not Wild Hunt.
We believe in you...kinda! :P
Probably depends upon its initial success.
No...No...that's not true!
That's impossible!
