Sometimes you just gotta play the hand you're dealt. And let's not forget that 1-3 bubbles isn't a default, especially if you've been here for a long time to witness the 5 bubble reset and Cat even offering an extra bubble before she left to those who commented on her blog earlier this year.
If you (or other low-bubbled users) really want to even the odds against someone like xHeavyx, I figure the incentive's on you to make more worthwhile comments that...
"Also, technically, not the scariest month of the year (just ask any tax payer who doesn't want to be audited)."
And this is why I'd want to keep all (or most) horror-themed blogs+reviews to April. ;)
Nice bump in total winners for comments so interested to see how that turns out. Happy competing, all.
Titles like Dishonored, Journey, Bioshock, and more are some popular examples of it last gen as well.
The uncertainty of time spent is the nature of the business for a lot of jobs, really. Even more complicated in game developer's cases is the new technology in each generation and the new set of variables that come with that too. Still, part of the job (like many others) is having a discipline on timeline or you could get in trouble fast.
Lesson I'm witnessing at current job site too.
Double-backing on this, I don't see any further clarification from Zampella clarifying his "congrats on 10 million" remark. Well...that could mean sales OR unique users now that you think about it.
C'mon Septic, I at least figured you'd be more careful with your titles.
"Was given free over EA Access"
C'mon...it's literally specified in the title that these are sold copies.
With that out of the way, let's consider your two other valid contentions:
A multi-platform(-ish?) shooter that was on sale multiple times by the biggies. Since every other game out there gets multiple sales from big retailers over time as well, there's little special about that for 1 year+ old games so we cou...
Thanks LostDjinn. Yeah, it's tough to think that just some gaming blog on the front page for a limited time is going to have a huge impact against the well-oiled machine of publishers promoting positive critic bias, but it's worth a shot all the same. I know a few users on here have their own game sites and whatnot so maybe it could influence them, or even get linked here from other sites.
"You did get to vent though, so that's a plus."
Indeed they did. In fact, my numbered 4 dual link below specifically sites that case. There's a process to getting it open though:
-click on the second link
-you'll get a 404 error but just copy the URL
-paste it in 1st link, the way back machine
-then it'll pop
I try to make it one single link but it always turns out that way. Sorry. :(
Yeah, I know of Matthewmatosis and I see where you're coming f...

Okay...so I just had to squeeze a blog in. :P
I hope everyone enjoyed the review. Please feel free to leave your remarks and/or questions in the comment section below. :)
That's cool. In some ways, I begrudge you and others who have similar feelings about it, like I have with other praised games I've been disappointed with.
Bear in mind, I didn't say anything about their first jump into HD or their technical prowess with the PS3 back then. That's an aspect of UC1 I do admire; ND's first crack at this hardware back in the day was a very respectable first effort.
But in respect to 'game-making' and gameplay, it was a mixed result in juggling so many things.
In some ways, they really should be. Quite possibly one of their weakest efforts in regards to game design counting all the way back to Crash Bandicoot 1.
Sure, it's certainly no easy feat especially when considering the cluttered nature of UC3 with Uncharted TV, microtransactions, plethora of modes, cosmetic goodies, etc., I'm sure most would understand if they released stripped-down versions of 2+3 MP to make it easier on them. But nothing? It comes off as a maximize profits through near-minimum work. That may seem like tough words, b/c I am aware they are tweaking some gameplay stuff and doing some cutscene over-hauling but it'...
Actually, this was the first to be put through submission but not the first to be approved. You can tell by the numbers in the URL.
Still appreciate the help though. :)
"You don't believe that the MP of three different UC games would split the community?"
It really just strikes me more as PR spin more than a genuine concern. I'm not denying the simple realities of 3 separate avenues of playing UC MP will (undeniably) mean less players in the UC4 MP pool at any given time, but the effect could be negligible in the grand scheme of things. As you mentioned, look at MCC and the potential for how that could work with Halo 5. ...
What do you mean by Wolfenstein? The '3D' addition in id's shooter seems like enough of a distinction in the same way _________64 worked back then.
It's the only one of main series (thus far) that didn't feel off with sensitivity cranked up.
Aside from those drastic examples of going in completely different directions with a series (example: Syndicate), I've often found these frustrations to be stupid in the grand scheme of things in comparison to whether or not the game is enjoyable. While I can't speak specifically to some of your examples (FF + haven't played MGSV yet), this somewhat myopic method of assessing this IP situation just doesn't really hit home for me.
Taking an example like the ...
Or "Trying to stay relevant" edition. Called this when my friend asked me about purchasing earlier this year.
Still looks fun though, I gotta say.
