C-C-C-Combo Breaker! Welp...I was bound to miss out on a monthly eventually. :'(
Congrats to all winners.
Heh...well...a few days off I guess. :P
Nope. A notification blog should go up on or before the 7th.
The trio prize is an nice twist on the comment lotto. Best of luck to all. :)
That's always struck me as an arbitrary way of limiting what kinds of new game systems can be experimented with in an established IP.
Heck, even most of the ones you posted in 2nd comment are more about those changes being haphazardly implemented more than anything. Others like Fallout 3 disregarded its isometric roots, still considered itself the next true sequel in series, and has had great success with its 3rd-person VATS system.
That's your case. When talking about ID, that just means 'self-published indie titles reaches 100.'
In that case, I see what you mean and can relate to that.
Shouldn't be too hard. Remember all the 90's horror tropes for the blonde, jock, etc. getting killed and you'll have the party dead in no time. ;)
Well, they are making Definitive Editions for PC/PS4/One and a lot of their money from first one could possibly be going towards that.
I'm still confident the 360 servers of RDR are still up but seemed to be terribly bugged (rallying up with posse after invites, friends not being in your game world, etc.)
While this idea sounds stupid, why should we get this out of the industry? Heck, Key & Peele can use the background of chattel slavery for a comedic sketch but games can't touch the issue in a comedic fashion (intentionally or unintentionally)?
This is the result of any art form in a society that believes in free speech.
@Bennibop
"From my understanding Polygon reviews are written by one person then scored by an editor based on how the review reads."
That is correct and a fair issue to address. That's a strange concept with their review system that sound backwards.
@Septic
"Whilst I don't usually agree with Polygon, I think you're right. A lot of hate stems from the bitterness over their TLOU review."

Saving money for other business ventures beyond gaming, son. Investments, possibly a new car in the future, etc.
He just loves to take a stab at Cage and QD as often as he can. :P
I liked his evaluation of this game. These reviews are only tempting me further to get this and a few other choice exclusives once I pick up a PS4.
@nX
"There are at least 10 Playstation exclusives that got a lower score from Polygon than from any other outlet and Until Dawn seems to be an addition to that list."
Actually, other outlets like Digital Spy and Metro GameCentral have UD scored lower than this. As far as the "at least 10 PS exclusives," show me some lists that have Polygon with a lower score than any other review outlet as you've claimed. If/once you have, do we also...
@HebrewHammer
"I take issue with it when developers are compensated more if a certain aggregate score is hit."
That blame should lie squarely on the asinine publishers who decided to put those compensation clauses in contracts, not reviewers for expressing their opinion on the game.
Now, the other two sentences I can respect where you're coming from: wanting reviewers to do better and recommending nice gems to previously-unaware...
I guess it depends on which reviews you've seen by them, but you'd be surprised to see how often they're not the odd one out, especially for many hyped 2014 AAA titles. So it may be partially due to people just seeing what they want to see.
That reminds me of when the initial reviews for the 7th gen version came out too. :P
Some can be big fans while others can really hate it.
Edit: I do have to wonder about giving it such a high score when hearing the problems he claims still persist in this edition though (1:55). I get that it's subjective in the end, but those are some sizable negatives to have.
To be fair, a lot of my recent news submissions haven't reached the 50 degree threshold for the average user to see it on front page.
Still haven't gotten around to getting into the Dragon Age series yet. Looks like a great deal considering the price of those individual DLC prices.
