"At the end of the day if a user has worked hard at a review or blog only to see someone (no offence but in your case, a mod aswell) win two contests then he's going to feel a little shitty and probably will be put off."
If anything, it seems like they can look at my recent work and come up with new ways to make better reviews+blogs than me. It's not like I got here without feeling similarly whenever others were chosen over mine d...
Before directly responding to this, I'll be open and admit that I'd have a totally biased opinion for the current setup. Let's just get that out of the way.
There's a couple issues I take with that kind of approach:
-If it is in the name of "fairness," how would Christopher choice which of the two I or someone else WON (<-stress that part) should be given to someone else? Would he have to go through his previous content winner...
Thanks for the selections and congrats to other winners.
Haha...that game's practically a ghost in most gamers' libraries. :P
I'm still frustrated that one didn't come around to even decent sales. It's possibly the most enjoyable Kinect game on Xbox One.
Google has detected malware on sites that we have linked to in the past, likely from search results that people have recently used.
We're working on clearing this up again.
It happened about a month ago too.

Hmmm...with considering a lot of these responses, perhaps I underestimated the whole emulation scene more than what I let on in the blog. Thanks for commenting and bringing up this new info for me.
Anyways, this'll be--unfortunately--my last comment on this section so I may shoot out some PM's later. Special thanks to everyone involved making this my most commented blog on here (currently). :D
Yeah, team's been informed about it so we'll try to fix ASAP.
I'm very happy to see this coming to consoles. May be a go-to shooter for competitive fun like TF2 (in Orange Box) was treated last gen for us. :D
Sounds good!
I have some shelved Jak + Daxter fan-fiction I made during my teens we could work on. :P
Alright. Well, I appreciate you clarifying that and carefully explaining those Public Domain/Fair Use instances.
"It's sort of a gray area for me, because I don't disagree with you, but at the same time, I'm not 100% on board with piracy for whatever reason people may have to do so....and those reasons tend to be numerous."
Haha...you and I seem to be in the same place in regards to piracy (for the most part). I'm morally opposed...
*facepalm*
I can't believe I missed that blind spot in the blog! I did recall seeing an article on it around the time of commenting on Stringerbell's blog. And I even vaguely remember thinking to myself "I'll have to update on this new info" but never came around to it.
Perhaps I subconsciously shelved it in order to have a more doom-n-gloom edge in this blog. :P
A big thanks to you for bringing this up.
I appreciate the sentiment. I want to try and tie both of your current comments here:
-Unfortunately, a lot of your criticism against corporate is on the money. But in regards to your movie analogy, I would actually challenge one thing about "but hold no lasting redeemable qualities worth study."
Even though I've disliked most of his-directed films (I've seen maybe 50% of his directional work), I actually do believe there is something of q...
Thanks, DarkOcelet.
There's two things I want to contend about bringing up QD here:
1.) Actually TellTale's first episodic adventure title, Bone: Out of Boneville, released just before Indigo Prophecy did in North America (not elsewhere though).
2.) The key difference to remember whenever I say TellTale formula I'm talking about episodic adventure games. Heavy Rain + Indigo Prophecy released as full games upon release. I know ...
I appreciate that. :)
It's important to keep in mind how long of a time that'll be before they'll become public domain though.

Extensions like ^this put into law is what's kept Mickey's first cartoons from public domain until 2024. And this upcoming TPP agreement could make that even longer and possibly enable companies to levy tough civil/c...
Thanks. From what I've seen, emulation does come with its own set of limitations. And with the scariness of the TPP being fasttracked, having that potential of legal issues hovering over you just for resurrecting long-forgotten games is annoying. Plus, I'm hesitant as to how thorough the emualtion scene has scoured through less-popular consoles and their games; furthermore, they're overall functionality with OS can be an issue too.
Yeah, I recently saw some of ...
Thanks timmyp53.
Nope, I don't have my own website/blog. Keep all my stuff here for the time being. Haven't really thought about setting one up before. You never know what the future holds though! :D
I was worried the plan wasn't subtle enough to slip by the more attentive users on here. You get coolbeans' *Sherlock HolmeS* Badge. :P
Yikes! Can't believe I forgot to comment right after. Anyways, I hope everyone enjoyed the blog. Feel to leave comments/questions here.
Hope everyone had a good Halloween as well, if you celebrate it. :)
That may be a negative bias on certain days when I bother him more often than not. ;)
Okay, I'm putting my serious face on now. In regards to the idea of favoritism being brought up, I've welcomed people to look at my win history since becoming a mod and you'd have to REALLY, REALLY stretch it to come to said conclusion, especially when:
-I didn't win a user review contest my first year (accumulative) after becoming a mod. The gap's bet...
